We only stayed for one night to attend an event. we didnt see much of the property but it seemed like a nice location. we stayed in the motel part not in a cabin and the rooms had been remodeled not too long ago. unfortunately a horrible cleaner smell greeted us when we opened the door. It was very aggressive and gave us a head ache. The mattresses were old, lumpy and uncomfortable. Staff was nice and everything else was good.

The bad! Bed mattresses were completely worn out and need replacing We stayed in a ground floor room and we could hear 100% of the movements in the room above us and it was too much. The good. Room was very clean and the staff was amazing! Additionally, it appears that the Frontier is committing to capital improvements and the work that has been completed thus far looks very nice.

I liked how their upgrades were up to date inside and keeping the mountain look outside

We've stayed at this property three times. The only problem this last day was that we were given an ADA room for some reason. We should have requested a switch as there were plenty of open cabins such as ours, so that was our fault. However the Ada room lacks some amenities such as a place to hang clothes and or coats, the shower makes a mess, and one of the thermostats seem to function poorly causing the bedroom to heat up. That being said I would stay here again. A lesson for everyone check your room before you move all of your stuff in wherever you stay.

It was a Wonderful property right on the water. The room was GREAT. The beds were a little to Firm for me, but everyone has different preferences. The room was clean, and the people were GREAT !!

The view of the lake was amazing! Oh and the faux fireplace was the best part. Rooms are updated clean

Had a downstairs room. Whoever was in upstairs room kept us awake most of the night.

We loved the rustic beauty and the close proximity to the lake and the village. Our family had 3 cabins, and we all had a wonderful time. We had no problem getting assistance from the staff at the Big Bear Frontier when needed. We would most definitely love to go back the next time we are in the area!

A room was recently remodeled and was very clean and perfect for our overnight stay. The staff at the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful when checking in. Will definitely stay here again.

This was my first weekend getaway to big Bear. My boyfriend and I absolutely loved it! The little cabins are cute and quaint and clean and comfy. All the cookware and utensils were provided. We were able to make our own dinner without any problems at all. And the lake is literally just outside the door in a few steps away. And also the downtown area that big bear has is only a short walk away as well. The location is absolutely perfect. If you haven’t tried hot tubbing in the snow I highly recommend it. We will definitely be going back.

I like that the lake is just walking distance from our cabin.

When me and my family arrived we checked in with the front desk to receive our room keys for the night. Once we went to our room, we realized that the room key did not work. We went back to reception to request a new key in hopes that the replacement would open our room, we then tried the replacement key in hopes that that would open our room, but it indeed did not. It was about 8 PM and me and my family were in the cold, trying to get this situation sorted out. Fortunate for us reception was very nice in regards to the situation as she continued to try and give us replacement keys to try at our room. Last time that we went to our room, we ended up knocking on the door and a person was already vacating the room with his significant other. He was confused as to why we were knocking on his door and mentioned that he had been staying in the room since Thursday and we arrived on Saturday. We then went back to reception and told them about the situation and they ended up giving us an emergency room to stay in for the night. I just feel like they need a better system in regards to checking in their guests, but I’m glad that the situation was diffused and me and my family were able to be warm for the night.

The signature cabin has pretty much everything that is comparable to a small studio. Kitchen came stocked with pots,pans, and various kitchen utensils (missing scissors). Only thing you have to bring is seasoning and oil to fully utilize the kitchen. Kitchen also came with a Hamilton coffee maker that was missing the Kcup adapter but maybe I asked I could have gotten it. Bed was comfy enough, but is a full not a queen so be prepared. Also TV was big I believe 70-80in but is an older type so there is no Netflix or connecting through screen share. If you want to watch Netflix/Hulu/Disney/etc only way is to connect a HDMI to a laptop. Bathroom was clean for the most part except the bathroom curtain with some stain, which were negligible. All in all, very cozy lodge with the essentials to make your trip to Big Bear worth remembering.

Incredibly kind staff but they advertise a fire place yet charge per log (decent pricing). Apart from that our unit wasn’t stocked with toilet paper and the previous tenant’s dirty towels were all bundled up in a bag and sitting on our porch. The ceiling mounted ac unit stopped working halfway through the night but the unit had a small space heater for the night. The real issue was the whirring noise it made through the night. Luckily the mountains were fun out here so I was too exhausted to care at the time but I want to leave this review to nudge management in the right direction.
