DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport

Good hotel

The Key card cannot open the room door! They told me that I have to pull the door to a certain position so the magnetic lock can sense it right. This is not the first time I encounter door problem in Hilton hotel. I will definitely not choose Hilton hotel again.

During our stay, the hotel had a planned electricity outage without any notice to the guests. The electricity went out around 9am and stayed out until approximately 11:30. We were forced to shower in the dark and we’re not able to charge our electronics before our flight. When we asked if we could have a late check-out, we were told that would not be possible. We were also told we would have to carry our luggage down four flights of stairs due to the elevator being unusable. A little prior notice of the planned outage would have been helpful and a little accommodation due to the inconvenience would certainly be expected. We received neither!

Nice room. Pleasant facilities. Good for the price. Room could have been lit just a bit more.

Does not like a 4 star hotel, especially by amenities in room and room size. For example, 4 people room has only one chair.

We had 2 rooms, one of them had dust bunnies or something, all over the bed. Shampoo and soap hadn't been filled. Water pressure was not great, hot water was hit or miss, actually it was never "hot". Parking was horrendous. We were there 2 nights and there wasnt a single parking spot available either night. People were creating spots on the lawn. Our first night there we returned to a very strong smell of weed in our room however we hadn't been there all day. We advised the person at the front desk that evening when we noticed and he didn't seem to be concerned. Sunday morning I mentioned it to the lady at the front desk and she seemed more concerned. Then the building lost power. My son and his fiance had to carry all of their bags down the stairs and walk through the kitchen to get out. On our way home we were discussing the hotel and they felt that someone had been in their room on Saturday when we were gone as they had turned all lights off when they left and came back to the room that evening and all of the lights were on. It def was not housekeeping as nothing was straightened up, linens were not changed, and garbage was not emptied. We noticed the same thing when we returned however it appeared someone had used the bathroom in our room. We are coming back to Pittsburg the end of July and will not be staying here again.

Good property, great location

The hotel was clean, and in a decent area. The only problem I had was that the floor wasn't vacuumed thoroughly. There was a shrimp tail and other crumbs under the desk in the room. The bathroom was very small also. The power temporarily went out early in the morning, but was restored about 20 minutes later.

Loved the cookies! Everything was super nice and clean. The only thing we didn’t like is when we checked in, we were told the hotel bar was open until midnight. We came back to go to it and it was closed.

Power went out at 9pm and had not come back on when we left at 4 am.

The bed and pillows were comfortable. The shuttle service was excellent and the price to pay for parking for the week was exceptional.

I liked that there was a restaurant on site, i did not like the set up of the parking lot. Being a woman and having to walk pretty far from the front door and around the side of the building during late night early morning hours was quite unnerving.

Really great location near the airport, with a free shuttle service. The room was really big, clean with a spacious and modern bathroom as well.

I stay at one of the Doubletree when I’m in the Pittsburgh area. I’ve stayed at the downtown, the green tree and the airport for the second time this trip. I have to say I was less than pleased with the stay. I got there at 5 o’clock to check in with a reservation and a room wasn’t ready. The person at the desk didn’t seem very engaged. The hotel lost power from 9 o’clock the first night until the next morning. The towels weren’t switched out and the bed wasn’t made for the second night of the stay. Hopefully, this day was an anomaly. I know things don’t always go perfect. But again, it wasn’t my usual Doubletree experience. Thanks

Power went out as soon as we checked in and had to wait for over an hour before the computer system came back online to at least get checked in our room. The power never came back on and we had to take cold showers in the dark to get ready for our 3:30am airport shuttle. I think a refund is warranted for this terrible experience.

Great location, close to the airport.

Had a good stay at the hotel. I was surprised to come a bit late after 9 pm and still be offered a warm cookie. The bathroom and living space at my room were clean and spacious. It is within a few minutes drive from various restaurants. I was able to find a parking space but it can be full at times.
