This resort, while dated, is a great location for visitors to crested butte. Being able to ski right up to the hotel can’t be beat. The hotel offered a great bar in the lobby where we had breakfast each morning and had plenty of options for our kids for after skiing activities. They also served drinks with ample and comfortable seating for large groups to sit and lounge after they got off the mountain. The hotel room could stand to be cleaned a little more thoroughly. Several shelves were covered in a thin layer of dust and the smell of mildew was a little strong for me. It’s what you get when you have wet ski gear on carpet, I suppose. There was also a lack of place to hang items to dry and nowhere that I could sit and do makeup/hair. Outlets were sparse and some didn’t even work. There was an issue with our tv and maintenance fixed it right away, so they are very responsive to issues, which is great. I noticed the hotel is renovating soon, so I am sure all of these “complaints” are already set to be addressed. But none of them would stop me from booking again as you simply cannot beat the convenience. Lastly, while the food at the hotel restaurant (Jose) has room for improvement, the service there is exceptional. A waitress there remembered my daughter’s breakfast order every day and made her feel so special.

Overrun by kids on spring break. Management did not seem to have a handle on things. The entire hotel smelled like feces when we first arrived. That was thankfully corrected. The building is dilapidated. The mattress on the sofa bed was just a cover over springs. They did give us a foam topper, which helped. It is a great location.

The hotel was fine- clean, nicely appointed, perfect location. The two things that bothered me were: the staff we not engaged. I realize most of these folks are kids just trying to stay afloat while getting in some cheap skiing on the side. Still, an adult manager or supervisors who were there for a career could have directed the uninterested staff. Secondly, almost none of the amenities worked or were in disrepair. When you are there with kids, you expect the kids amenities to be available and work. Example: no ping pong balls for the table. It seems like a small thing, but what do ping pong balls cost? Nothing.

Our stay was disappointing overall, so much so that we opted to leave a day early and forfeit a night’s room charge. We didn’t receive housekeeping service of any kind, our room was not in great condition (mold/mildew in the showers, poor quality linens, etc), and probably most problematic staff was not managing other guests, namely the countless teenagers running wild. We were at the pool every evening and with only one exception, there were never any pool towels available and the pool area was absolutely trashed. There were at least a half dozen pieces of gum stuck to the ceiling above the hot tub, dozens of kids in and out and making the environment generally chaotic (throwing towels full of snow at people in the hot tub, yelling, etc). Not once did we see an employee attempt to manage the kids, the mess, or anything else. The noise continued in the guest rooms - there was music and/or TVs blaring literally all night around our room that kept us up most of the night every night (including my two kids). When we finally decided to leave and I shared this with the staff, there wasn’t much of an apology at all. They explained that it was spring break. Given that we too have kids, we book ski trips every spring break, New Year’s week, and Thanksgiving at a minimum and we’ve never experienced anything like this. I’m not usually one to complain at all, but this was pretty epically bad.

Loved how close this property is to the lifts. It's in the middle of it all and super convenient for friends staying all around to come together and hang out. The beds were comfy, room was cozy, and we loved that they had box fans in the room. Would stay here again!

On a prior visit in which I stayed in a connecting room one could hear the conversations from the connecting room. I did not care for dinibg at José. And, I also found the hours too restrictive. For example, this is my third stay at Elevation Hotel this year. I fly into Gunnison. Generally, my flight arrives there at 8pm. By the time I get my luggage, the car service drives me too Elevation, and I check in, it is generally past 9pm. So, one can not get dinner, except for frozen burrito or the like that one can get at the deli, which stays open until 10. But, I find it absurd, that one spends a significant amount of money on this skiing trips and one can not get dinner past 9pm. This is not an issue of the hotel, but of the whole town.

Ski in Ski out. Room was nice with kitchenette and balcony. Hot tub and sauna were great after a day of skiing. I did think it was interesting that the drip coffee was NOT complimentary especially since when I checked in I was told me “coffee would be available at the bar in the lobby”. Just seems like a small cost to the hotel that would ultimately lead to a better experience for their guest.

My husband, two young kids, and I stayed in a Valley View King suite. It was spacious, and we appreciated having two bathrooms. Also, you can’t beat the location. It was so convenient to rent skis at their shop and valet them. It’s a short walk from the hotel to the lift. The hotel is dated, and some things could’ve been cleaner: * The sponge was disgusting. They should provide a new one for each guest. * Some of the paper coffee cups had coffee stains on them. * The shower curtain had a stain on it. * The bathtub didn’t drain well. However, once I called the front desk, they quickly sent someone up to fix it. Also, it’d be nice to have an extra dresser to put suitcases on or an extra couch so the kids don’t have to share the pullout bed. They have a small laundry room with three machines on the second floor. It’s $2 to wash and $1.75 to dry. I did one load during the afternoon, and no one else was in there. I’d stay here again because of the location.

Hotel is nice enough and the ski in and out option is awesome. However, the hotel is dated and parking is difficult. For $30 per night, I would love to have a spot in the garage, but oversized vehicles were kept outside in a tiny lot, couldn't find parking at the hotel. We had to park down the street in what seemed like a public lot and we were still charged $30 per night. Upon checkout day, which was at 11am, someone from housekeeping "checked in" with us at 9am to see when we were leaving and I told that person 11am and they came back twice to see if we'd left in that 2 hours. For the price point, I would expect more attention to detail and at the very least, parking at the hotel.

Location to chairlift is great. Apres ski outside lobby patio was annoying very loud night club music. Killed the vibe for apres ski. Food options are very limited in the village area. Hotel room is odd configuration with old bulky furniture. Place needs a facelift. Friendly service & great location are the only positives to this place.

I had a very good experience with staff and convenience. My only issue was the cleanliness of the room. There were large amounts of dust hanging on the fan in the room.

The hotel is conveniently located just steps from ski lift. We stayed there in 2021 and loved the restaurant food and drinks. In 2022 their restaurant got new owner and now an aweful “mexican” cafe. The food is barely eatable. Drinks are mediocre. Why not to make it better? Hotel bar also has limited mediocre options. C’mon management, get us better food!

Good stay, overall fine. But property is not what you'd find in normal modern hotels. Typical toned down service associated with the Vail monopoly on Colorado ski resorts.

Ski in Ski out location was great. The staff was also friendly and helpful. The rooms could use some updating. Elevator wasn't reliable and needed service multiple times. Long wait during peak times.

Hotel needs refurbishment badly. Room was very noisy due to music playing in restaurant below.
