Loved this property. The typical hotel fees they charged are just masked as an “urban experience” but at least you get something for the fee. Other hotels just charge you the random fee in the city but you get nothing.

The only thing I didn’t like about my stay was the restaurant, Toro. For dinner, their chicken was not cooked properly. Also, for breakfast, their dishes were dirty and we asked them to change them.

Booked through this site, only to get hit with extra taxes through the site and a pile of hidden fees at the hotel. Parking was more than advertised, I was charged an “urban experience fee” for useless credits whether i used them or not, and the spa was very expensive — not included, despite the way it was presented. Room was disappointing: small windows, no fridge or microwave (those should be standard at a place this costly), and a tiny shower that sprayed water outside the shower. Room service came with extra charges and credits didn’t apply the way I expected. All in, I spent way more than planned, and none of it felt worth it. The best part of my trip was everything outside the hotel. Wouldn’t recommend, and I won’t be booking here again or through this service!

The Fairmont was amazing for our weekend vacation. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We needed to check-in early and check-out late and was able to do this for a simple fee. Everything was very clean in this hotel and our view of the parks and Lake Michigan did not disappoint. The massage downstairs at the spa was the absolute best! Dining options were perfect when we wanted to avoid leaving. The location was perfectly situated near many things within walking distance, including the CVS directly across the street. We had a wonderful stay and have already recommended a group of friends choose The Fairmont for their trip to Chicago. Definitely going back for a longer stay.
