Friendly front staff person checked us in and switched our assigned room given that I requested a to floor room, away from stairs and the main road. Room was clean but the carpet in our room was badly stained. Beds are comfy with ample pillows. Sheets were pilly, but not torn.

The walls are so thin that you can hear everything in the rooms next to and above you. When people would walk above us - we were on ground floor, we could hear everything. There were stains on the wall in the inner bedroom. While the staff was nice and helpful - the room was just not conducive to rest at all.

Hotel was very convenient to the Shakespeare Festival and reasonably priced.
Breakfast was modest but appreciated. We were stumped by the shower/bathtub configuration, but the front desk was helpful. Unfortunately the Ice machine was broken in 100 degree weather,
