Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Cincinnati NE/Mason

There was no stay. There was no rooms available. Had no way of contacting hotel.com. this site is awful and I would not recommend it.

Room was okay. The fridge didn’t work they had to swap it out after we got into the room

Cleanliness was an issue for me. The room was hastily cleaned before we got there and I ended up asking for the vacuum just to avoid looking at the gross floor. There were also holes in walls where doorknobs have hit and the thermostat has been ripped from the wall in our room leaving another large hole. There were holes in the window screens and the windows were propped open when we checked in. There were also a lot of high touch areas like walls and doors that were gross to look at, especially heading to the elevator. The shower curtain was also coming loose from the wall which made it impossible to shower without getting water everywhere. Other than poor housekeeping and the falling shower curtain, any staff I interacted with were kind and courteous. Customer service and the delicious sausage gravy were the best part of our stay.

We took our family up to Cincy for the 4th weekend to see other family. The hotel was decent.. but let me tell you what really stood out to us.. the Front desk lady.. JESSICA! She has so sweet, and so kind. Her and my husband had a great time picking back and forth. My husband used to stay at this hotel before me and there was a gentlemen that worked there and was wonderful he said Jessica was just as amazing and she will be the reason we return! Thank you for the amazing stay. Will say though breakfast was sub par. Biscuits and gravy eggs waffles. The usual hotel hotel hot breakfast. Thank you for all your help JESSICA YOU ARE AMAZING!

Staff were friendly but ineffective. Had coffe in the room but no coffee make. I asked 3 time and was assured housekeeping would deliver. NEVER happened. Carpet was sticky, room stunk, fridge opend wrong direction and was close to useless. Security door to building was disabled and I was informed that thefacility had no maintenance person on staff, garbage everywhere and overflowing. Tile was missing the entire circumference of the pool, so photos of a beautiful pool were fakes or from 25 years ago. No phone, remote for TV was inoperable. Was told after I asked about housekeeping services and was informed only every 14 days. So no fresh linens for our stay, I had to deliver my soiled towels to the front desk before they would issue me freash ones. No cups, no glasses for beverages and no ice. So a 1st class dump. Tried to negotiate at least a partial refund to no avail.

Its was good i really appreciated them returning my car key to me.

Stayed 2 nights. The room was nice and comfortable for our time there. For an extended stay with a kitchen, I expected there to be some kind of pots and pans and silverware but there was none. Luckily I brought some just in case, so heads up if you’re staying and wanted to make a meal. The property is in a sketch area and the building reeked of marijuana and grease. Trash was piled up outside of the entrance to the building and you could tell it’s been sitting for days by the stench. The “breakfast” was very lacking and disappointing. All in all it was “OK”.

Rooms are clean and nice staff

The location was good, the staff was nice and friendly and helpful. But the suite was disappointing. While the sheets towels appeared to be clean, the state of the rooms was not. The walls desperately need a good scrub and fresh paint, and many areas need a good deep clean. The outside door that said “locked for safety” was definitely not locked. The rooms smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was listed as a smoke free property. Quite disappointing. The morning clerk was very kind and even pulled his own car around when our van needed a jump start.

Everyone was utterly amazing while I was there! I wish I was better with names but the young man with red hair and a beard was super helpful and the young ladies who checked me out were absolutely fantastic. The rooms were alittle dusty, so that definitely sucked and a few other minor issues with the room but overall. It was nice to stay at and I’ll definitely be back.

The room was filthy. There were people hanging out in the halls and outside the buildings everywhere, smoking. When I went to the front desk to ask for a refund, they told me they couldn't handle refunds on their end because I had booked it through Hotels dot com. I called Hotels dot com and they said a refund had to be handled through the Hawthorn and that they were refusing to refund. I called the hotel again and the woman said they don't have a policy of refunds and the woman fought with me for 20 minutes. Finally said she'd refer it to corporate. Still haven't heard anything. Had to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. Unless you're on the run from the law, I'd avoid this place.

Hotel was not in the best condition. The employees were all nice and helpful. The hotel was just not high quality.

Room didn’t have everything we needed. Asked for towels and didn’t receive them. No pot for the coffee maker. Room looked like it had mold in the shower

This stay was booked last minute. We just needed a place to shower and rest from a trip. The staff is fabulous very nice, helpful and all around understanding. However the room needed a good cleaning the floors made our feet black. The counters sticky, shower curtains nasty and the TV in the bedroom had no wire to plug it in. We could live with the room for one night. However free breakfast is always a must when we book a hotel. It wasn't as big of a breakfast as if you stayed in a bigger place. They still had a good selection for what it was. However to anyone thinking about booking this hotel just know you must watch your food. DO NOT leave it unattended even to take care of your kid for just one second. They have people who will take the food when you turn around. They must be people living there but still it's very rude. I've never been to a hotel and had to guard a waffle maker or a plate.

Check in was easy, location good. The building that the office was in seemed ok. The building we ended up in had a bad odor. Many people complained. Banister for the stairs was broken. debris laying around. The front desk person accidently told me my room was in his building so I was able to go through that building, that is why I know it was cleaner and definitely didn't have the smell the other building did. Seemed like people lived there weekly, not jus travelers. Breakfast provided was ok.

The outside door to our building was broken we arrived at midnight and people were coming bang going into the hotel without key cards so be the lock was broken, the room was dirty, we were work up by construction workers in the room next door at 8:30 am. We were supposed to stay 3 nights and spoke with thev mgr and they “refunded “ our next two days but in the end did not give us a refund and. We have been fighting with support to try to get out money back. We arrived at midnight onnn4/25 and left at 8:30 am on 4/25.

This was a business trip over a couple of nights. I've used extended stay settings before, but this is by far the best experience I've ever had. From check in to check out, from the front desk to housekeeping, people were exceptionally friendly and receptive. I keep a list of places to stay again and places to never return to and this is definitely a "stay again!"

The original room smelled of smoke and mold, the refrigerator when opened smelled sour. The floor/furniture looked dirty and I did not even set my bag down before going to change rooms. The second room much smaller but didn't smell of smoke however had some "rowdy" guys staying nearby. I did not feel safe at all being alone and female. I did not see another female on the property other than employees.

This was the worst hotel room i ever walked in. I couldnt even stay 10 minutes in my hotel room it smelled so bad. I left 20 minutes after i checked even though they would not refund me. Seriously the most digusting hotel room I ever walked in.
