I love staying at Himawari!

Convenient location, on property shopping and dining. Excellent, helpful staff. Reasonably priced, quality dining.

Very close to shopping area

Nice reasonably priced hotel with a great Japanese store and restaurant downstairs. It’s near the bars in Garapan and although the surrounding area could use some landscaping and paint, the neighborhood is safe and quiet.

Himawari is my favorite place to stay while visiting Saipan. The convenience of the location, onsite dining, shopping, grab and go delicious food, as well as a bakery makes life so easy. The staff is always friendly and helpful. If you love Japan like I do, then Himawari is an affordable option while staying in Saipan.

The staff here are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Plus, they offer bicycle rentals, which is a great way to explore the area. Another perk is the large store conveniently located on the ground floor, perfect for grabbing quick snacks or anything else you might need. The hotel is within walking distance of some amazing beaches in Garapan, which is a huge bonus. And the room... they're ridiculously spacious! I couldn't help but laugh when I first entered mine because it was so much bigger than I had anticipated. However, it's worth mentioning that the hotel is quite old, and this shows in some areas. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, some amenities are broken, and the room wasn't the cleanest. Overall, I think this hotel would be a good choice for budget travellers like me. I really enjoyed staying at Himawari and I will definitely consider staying here again.

Nice location. Nice staff here and friendly. The only thing was that there was a renovation of hotel while i was staying there. So, it was a bit aloud of working. Except this, i would be happy to stay longer.

To me, the hotel is so nice, has good service friendly people, clean and neat, but only the problem is, we cannot get our refund of the hotel, because we didnt stay for 4 nights just as we booked and reserved for 4 nights. We only stay for 2 days and 1 night, so when we checked out, we asked for refund, but one of the ladies at the front desk told us or told me that we cannot receive refund...Everything is nice at the hotwl and the employees, but the only problem is the refund.Please next time, please let there be a refund for this kind of guests.

Liked the room set up and convenience of restaurant/shop, but the bed was way too firm for me to sleep comfortably.

Property was rather dated, but excellent for the price and rooms were large. Great food and Japanese supermarket at the ground level. Restaurant was superb.

Himawari is in a decent location to night life on Garapan (8 minute walk). If you are a Westerner than the beds will be hard and uncomfortable. They do have the best Japanese restaurant on the island and a convenience store which makes it very convenient. If you want room comforts than I would recommend someplace else but it isn't easy on Saipan. You have Fiesta and Hyatt both of which cost at least $150 per night. Value wise Himawari is 2.5 stars in the Western world.

Very nice staff, clean rooms, affordable, great location.

The location of the property is the only value it holds. The check in process is done by a notebook where your name is listed. The receptionists are also cashiers of the supermarket/bakery/bento place. Which is not ideal since the place is always full of customers shopping. The hallways have lights but are very dim due to low wattage if I’m not mistaken. The floors of the hallway even if they’re being cleaned daily, are dirty and black. I had a leaking toilet in my room that I immediately informed them about, I was told someone will fix it the next day but no one ever came. The room was adequate, good size bathroom, Japanese style toilet and the beds are soft but firm.

Convenient and spacious room for business work.

I liked that there are useful items in the room that can be used such as kitchen utensils, shower soap, shampoo and conditioner and most especially a refrigerator with a freezer. I also liked that theres cable and wifi!!! The cleaning is okay however the floor feels like it is never swept when i put the sign "make up room". We always had to use our slippers in the room because the floor was very dirty. Overall, its good!!!

Really a good location. Staff very friendly and helpful, even when they are super busy. The FOOD is excellent here. Safe location.

I enjoyed the overall ambience. The water pressure was amazing and love the size of the room.

Had no elevators no iron/board, no complimentary coffee or tea, aroma from restaurant permeates in room.

Very good grocery store is on the first floor. A variety of Japanese-style lunches and foods are available.
