Home2 Suites by Hilton Blacksburg

The whole experience was clean and comfortable but when the hotel realized we booked "third party" they couldn't even give us a receipt or anything to do with billing. It was awkward and weird.

My wife and I stayed for the first time ever at a Home2 property and our experience was absolutely outstanding!! The highlight of our stay was the room itself.... great size to the room and a larger than normal king size bed, which was very comfortable as well.

Picked this because the hotel we normally stay at in Blacksburg was fully booked! I would probably give this hotel a 3/10. If you don’t care about cleanliness, then you’ll probably be ok with it. We stayed in a king suite with a pull out couch. Unfortunately our child ended up in the bed with us instead of the sofa bed, because when we went to pull the sofa bed out, there were several long black hairs on the mattress. We could have looked past this but then when we went to get the sheets and spare blanket to make up the bed, same thing. Long black hairs on everything. I went into the bathroom upon arriving, several hairs on the floor and in and around the shower. Chipped paint, stained towels, killed a couple of bugs hanging out near the AC unit shortly after arriving. The lobby was also dirty. We arrived late, around 10:30pm. There was trash sitting out on the coffee bar, used cups etc littering the lobby. There was no one out there because it was late so I’m not sure why the desk worker couldn’t be bothered to pick up a bit since she wasn’t doing anything else it appeared. The breakfast in the morning was just as the other reviews said. Took one look and quickly passed. There was one yogurt left, and the bacon, eggs and sausage looked like they came straight from the freezer and were then put out in this make shift plastic display that was filthy, especially with all the guests having to touch it all. Just so unsanitary! We left and ate breakfast out. Will not return.

When we first entered our room it smelled odd. Turns out the carpet had been cleaned and it was still damp.

Hotel is very nice, beds were comfortable. The only comment would be to get some shell eggs options. I cannot eat eggs from the box so not having the option for fresh eggs does not work for me.

The property was exceptionally clean. The room was excellent, bathrooms were sparkling clean.

Nice place, clean, pretty quiet, spacious rooms, modern amenities, great short-term stay options (kitchen). Only issue is the WiFi and internet in the building was out the last two days of the trip

During on recent road trip, we stayed 1 night here. I called to tell them we would have a very late check in. When we arrived it was obvious that they gave away our room. Exhausted, I stood there for 30 minutes while they tried to find me another room. Not a good experience

Room was dirty when we checked in - floor was sticky. there was no housekeeping for our entire four day stay. When we arrived - dirty dishes in dishwasher. I will say - Malik at the front desk was kind and promised us a small refund for the lack of care/housekeeping. Every day we dropped our dirty towels in the hallway at the housekeeping station and had to get ourselves fresh ones. We were in town for a family wedding and busy all three days - didn't spend much time in the room - so plenty of time to clean it. Also - the breakfast is awful - supposed to be from 6-10 am and one day at 9:15 all was empty - no coffee, not even a slice of bread to make toast. For almost $600 for three nights - we could have found somewhere better.

Stayed here recently with a group of guys on a motorcycle trip. The room was spotlessly clean and well furnished with a small kitchen. The hotel is also conveniently located next to a shopping center with several restaurants.

Clean room, comfy beds, terrible feather pillows. Average hotel breakfast. Left early rather than stay the 2nd night we’d booked, because the people in the room next door had left their dogs alone in the room and the dogs were barking like mad.

The room & the facilities were excellent.

I loved this hotel. The only issue I had that the day I was checking out someone banged my door at 8 am. The checkout is at 11. I don’t want to feel I am being kicked out at 8 am.

Clean and friendly

Very comfortable beds. Clean friendly, great location. The breakfast was not good.

Enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. Clean and quiet.

Close to university and within walking distance to several restaurants.
