We had stayed in Homewood suite before. That's the main reason why we came back. I have to say, my first experience here was way better than my second experience. When we arrived, the insinkerator did not work already. We were holding off and did not want to bother anyone. Until day 2nd, all the water just would not go down anymore. So we called maintenance. The guys came fast and fixed fast too. Then he said lettuce leaves could not go into the insink garbage disposal?? There was only one small leaf debris floating in the water. And I never heard of that kind of comments before. I put lettuce leaves down my in-sink garbage disposal at home all the time. No problem there. The room was good. It has a separate living room area with a door in between the living room and the bedroom. So that was very helpful for sound proofing. I am not sure whether it was because our room was on the first floor or because it was a rainy day. We found a couple of mosquito in the room and two little spiders crawling on the bathroom floor.

This is our second time staying here. We like this property because it is close to Legoland. We come here after a long day at Legoland for resting before heading back home the next day. It’s clean, free parking, and not too far from places to eat or we could order thru grubhub if we wanted to grab something.

The staff was wonderful , kind, courteous and very helpful. Look forward to coming back

The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. Although the hotel was slightly old, the service made up for it.

Food options were just right. Staff did well keeping up with keeping it filled for everyone. Bed comfort was just right. I would recommend changing out the couch cushions or the whole couch in the rooms that come with one. Ours was used out

The room and overall facilities was very dirty, we did not feel comfortable at all. There needs to be a deep clean of the overall hotel and room needs a major update.

The furniture was worn and dirty should be replaced. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Manager was excellent, walked around and talked to people and was very helpful.

We like Homewood, they have separate living room with TV, the kids love it. Also the beds are comfortable. We stayed two nights, close to LEGOLAND.

Excellent staff, great breakfast, well maintained facilities. Downside - the sofa bed was a torture machine. After 2 nights of pain, just kept it folded and slept on the unopened sofa. Might be ok for kids, but not for adults. Location is a bit isolated, but access to amenities isn't difficult.

Very nice hotel and really enjoyed our suite.

Pros: beautiful area of Carlsbad near municipal airport, very safe, very quiet. Pool was clean and warm enough to enjoy. Fairly good breakfast variety. Full fridge in our suite. Comfortable beds. Check out time 12 noon. Cons: murky jacuzzi (would not get in), hotel is very large so lots of walking and crowded breakfast. Hotel allows pets so a barking dog in the next room kept my husband awake (he was sleeping on the couch). Sofa bed terribly uncomfortable for an adult. No oven in kitchen, cooktop only, so couldn't toast the garlic bread we brought with our meal. Bare bones cooking utensils. People (staff?) smoking pot outside the exit near our room. Exact same breakfast offerings both days we were there.

The furniture was not good at all. The couch/pull out bed needs to be replaced immediately in our room. It was awful. The beds and pillows were not that great either, but they at least didnt physically hurt my body. The breakfast was pretty good. The staff was very friendly. One of the dryers was broken, so there was a long delay in the laundry room. It needs some sprucing up for sure.

Blood stain on furnitures and bed sheets. Asked for extra blanket and it never come.

The breakfast was great! The staff was friendly. My only disappointment was with the condition of the pool. I used the pool and jacuzzi the last two days of my trip. The pool was fine, but the jacuzzi was Luke warm the first day. The second day I also used the pool and jacuzzi, but the second day the pool and the jacuzzi were the same temperature. There were also no towels at the pool on my second day.

It was a great stay I would recommend it to anyone staff was amazing
