Ilikai is an excellent hotel with a great location. It’s in a quiet area, perfect for relaxing, but still close to everything. The beach nearby is suitable for all types of travelers — whether you’re looking to swim, sunbathe, or just enjoy the view. Highly recommended!

I found this hotel to be great in its location, amenities, and price point. It's not a luxury resort but I didn't want to pay that much, haha. Our Ilikai room had a kitchenette and a sofa so it was great for a small family for several days' stay. The hotel has two pool options, and has a convenience store, ice cream shop & dining options. Its location is safe and attractive, and within easy walking distance to the lagoon and beach. While there were a couple of little things that could have been improved on, they were nothing alarming (e.g. there were a couple knicks in the paint in our room; wish we had gotten more sugar for coffee). I would definitely stay here again. Oh and awesome surprise, the hotel upgraded us to an ocean view room (I had reserved a city view room). It made our Hawaii vacation all the more memorable! Thanks Ilikai!

Última noche en Honolulu, precisaba un hotel cerca del centro comercial Ala Moana. Eramos 4, y no estaba equipado para los 4. No había sábanas para el sofa cama, ni almohadas. Faltó también un juego de toallas. Bastante decepcionada. La ubicación es muy buena para hacer compras en el mall, y la llegada es amable gracias a unos collares que dan como welcome gift, y la invitación para tomar una bola de helado. Por el resto, nada especial.

The photos are greatly deceiving. This use to be an old apartment complex that they slapped new paint on. The rooms are run down and the AC unit is about 15 years. You can’t open the balcony because the AC unit outside blows such hot air. The air is so hot you can’t even touch the chairs. The area around is run down and smells like pee. The elevators are barely running and constantly break. The hallways are about 95 degrees too. The property is deceitful in advertising and a majority of the reviews are spam bots.

I found this hotel to be great in its location, amenities, and price point. It's not a luxury resort but I didn't want to pay that much, haha.
