While the staff was fairly welcoming the room is in need of significant updating including more lighting.

The hotel rooms do not look like the pictures . It’s pretty run down

Would not refund me even though I checked out and would stay there. The hotel is literally fall apart and the hallways look like any projects in the bronx

Hot water didn’t work on shower

Shower faucets needed updating. Did not function properly. Staff seemed overwhelmed.

The Manhattan is in a prime location. Super close to the subway and an easy walk to Central Park, Hells Kitchen as well as Times Square. We stayed in a renovated room, which was clean and comfortable. It wasnt luxury, but we werent in the room all that much. The biggest drawback was, there was NO air conditioning. I was told it was turned off. I tried to open the windows, but that provided little relief. Even at summer camp, I had a fan! That being said, the staff were kind and lovely.

The Manhattan is in a perfect location; however, it is under renovation. The problem wasnt the renovation, the problem was how horrendously poor condition the hotel was in. In my room there was mold on the wall, the wallpaper had a slash in it and there was a large patch of something on the carpet (im not sure, maybe it was burned). The AC and heat didnt really work. Im sure once its renovated, it will be a huge improvement. Please note, EVERY staff member I met was lovely.

Completely different from pictures

I liked that it was close to everything and friendly staff.

They said that they will renovating which is great because the property is in rough shape. Really rough shape. But then staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful.

Property is super old and they don’t have AC in any room. They should clearly mention this. Room environment felt construction dust in the air. No doubt location is best and staff, room cleanliness as it should be.

This is a great property, however , a little dated and in need of renovation badly. I like they have parking and it’s very close to everything… with a few million in renovations this place could be one of the top hotels for tourists in NYC!

One of the worst hotels we've stayed in New York. The website pictures are NOT a representation of the actual rooms. The room was so outdated and dirty. The curtains were covered in dirt. The shower curtain had mold all along the bottom. The lobby unbenounced to us was under construction. A real disappointment

Our room and floor had not been renovated yet. While the room was clean as possibly could be, the carpet, walls, furniture, and bathroom were very tired and worn. There was no A/C unit and our room was rather warm. I assume there is central a/c for the building that was not on yet? I never saw or heard about the business center or fitness center that are pictured on the website. Once the hotel is completely renovated, I would stay again due to the location and friendly staff. I recommend making sure you book a renovated room.

We stayed there because it was close to the theater where we saw a play. It has a parking garage in the basement, which is a huge plus. They offer a continental breakfast, while we prefer a hot meal. There is a big problem with elevator capacity: we were on the 6th floor, and on the morning we left, only two elevators were running, and those two went to the top of the building before coming down, so they were full when they got to the 6th floor, and we couldn't get on. So we rode the up elevator to the 22nd floor, and then rode down to the lobby level, and again the elevator was totally full.

Elevator nearly killed my colleague

This hotel was so very loud. The walls are paper thin and you can hear people talking as if they’re directly outside if your door all through the night. I genuinely could not sleep because of this. The lights went on and off at odd times as well. It was slightly too expensive for what you get, even on Times Square. There are no amenities either.

“City View” was another building taller than ours so looking in others rooms and office spaces. The place was under construction, the ice and water dispensers do not work I tried so many floors, the front desk gave me a specific floor to try, the issues in our unit were resolved same day so no complaints there, TV could not be changed off of theTV guide.
