Por errores de los empleados terminé pagando eso y al expresar el malestar por esta situación lo único que respondieron fue que si no pagaba el excedente que me fuera del hotel hice check in a las 6 pm y a las 10 pm me llamaron a la oficina para indicar que habían cometido un error y que el pago por noche de esa habitación era 170 dólares más alto que el publicado en Expedia

Lack of communication poor management

The rooms were fine, and the staff seemed polite, though our interaction was limited. There did not seem to be any real issue with safety, and the overall location was good; you could get to downtown Monterey in 10 minutes or less. The grounds of the hotel need attention. The parking lot hasn't been resurfaced in ages, so it is uneven and has potholes - not really an issue of concern. Evidently, $110 to $140ish per night, these days, gets you a room with a musty smell from their cleaner of choice, a bit of extra noise, and the smell of pot wafting through the window at every hour. We got what we paid for, so the question might be whether we would stay here again. In hindsight, I would have been happier to pay $50 to $100 more per night to go elsewhere because it was a family stay.

stayed in the queen suite with the kitchen. room didn’t look anything like the picture and didn’t feel like it was worth the price. very noisy area by the airport that was not advertised. not much food/coffee spots nearby either. shower leaked all over bathroom floor. had to leave a night early because we were so uncomfortable. probably not the worst place in the world, but definitely wouldn’t recommend spending your money here

Mold in bathroom, refrigerator in room 202 making a lot of noises at night time.

I would not stay here again. The worst most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever had at a hotel. Dirty room, floors & bathroom. Ripped window screen. Loud refrigerator left unplugged by staff so it was warm when we arrived. Loud guests throughout. No sink water pressure, no hand soap in dispenser.

Our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The condition of the room we stayed in was very unhygienic. On the morning of check out while packing our luggage, we discovered an ant infestation in the room with ants crawling on the floor, tables, and over our belongings. We even noticed a few on our beds. This is appalling and a serious concern about the hygiene and cleanliness of the room. We left early and immediately reported the issue to the front desk. The staff told me they would inform the manager and that we would receive a call back soon. However, we never received any resolutive follow-up or response from Red Roof. They took no action to address the hygiene issue or my complaint. I am very disappointed with the irresponsible service along with the initial room condition.

It was a suite with a kitchen, the paint on the cabinets is worn. The shower dripped and got the floor wet. The Wi-Fi was spotty. Worked good then would randomly disconnect. The suites are further from the office and maybe why the Wi-Fi was spotty.

Awesome staff! Clean room! I will definitely stay again on future trips.

The lobby agent, Dante was extremely professional and very helpful in directing us to restaurants that were open very nearby. The only drawback was the invasion of ants that were coming through the window looking for food. If you leave any open containers of drinks or food easily access by the ants it was swarmed. Would recommend ant stakes surrounding the building or better yet ant bait that is harmless to kids or pets, the ants carry the bait back to the queen and it basically kills the colony.

Great for 1 night - jacuzzi was broken but stagg was super nice. Room was spacuous and clean

Lights in shower not working, front window was shot and the primary room does not function properly.

The beds are so comfortable. The room is so clean. The staff is absolutely amazing. There’s always somebody around to help you and Dante in the front or office is so accommodating.

The staff at this establishment are very friendly and quite knowledgeable. The room was pretty average, but you were able to hear all the noises from the hallway and outside the building. If you’re looking for an affordable room that gets a job then this is the spot for you.
