It was nicee

Very nice property located right on the water (bay). The mattresses seemed like they haven't been changed or updated since the 90's, thin, lumpy and uncomfortable. For the price, the room itself was small and a bit older than expected, but then again, it was a waterfront property, so that's probably where the price comes from. The kids enjoyed the pool and it was clean and inviting.

Lobby was nice- pool was not super clean with toilet paper floating multiple days in a row nor was the room when we checked in.

The staff was helpful, the hotel was nice and clean. But I didn't like their policy regarding charging $15 per device for wifi access, and the $45 per day parking fee. These seemed excessive. But the location is good and it was nice to have the boat rental service right next to the hotel.

The front desk agents were really nice and personable. However… for what you pay, the property is extremely outdated! The common areas have definitely received their upgrades but the rooms, halls, bathrooms, furniture etc. are extremely outdated!! The rooms have a funny smell, and the bathrooms smell just like a public restroom at the beach. It was very clear that our room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly. Will not be back.

Aug 2025. Unfortunately not a great experience. The room lobby rugs were spotted with dark spots. Also, the family activities were never on time. The activities definitely need more organization. You never knew where the activities were taking place and never on the time scheduled.

This property is great fir families. Service was wonderful, and mission bay if your back yard.

Property felt dated, our foot was blk from the tile floors. Wish it was carpet vs tiles. Pretty pool and landscape. Rooms can use some updates and be cleaner.

There was no wifi in public areas. There was a crumb on bathroom floor from the day we checked in until the day we left which led me to believe floor wasn’t cleaned. Carpet didn’t seem to be vacuumed. They tried to charge me for 4 in-room bottles of water @ $7 per bottle. I only drank one. Luckily, I caught their error on final bill.

I gave 3 stars for cleanliness because of the pool area. The room itself was very clean, comfortable and nicely sized. The pool area had a few rather gross situations going on which staff had to be alerted to by several people. The pool bathrooms had water flooding the floors which people from the pool were walking through. At first, it seemed like it might be from all of the pool goers wet foot traffic but we soon realized it was a toilet/ plumbing overflow as there was visible human waste all over the floor. A similar situation was being discussed by people sitting next to us at the kiddie pool area/ splash pad. The pool was crowded which we understood for a weekend in the summer, but they really should be more heavily staffed and attentive especially to handle human health/ safety issues. The "resort fee" is also annoying...and it doesn't include parking so you are getting hit with a surprise $80-90 per day extra charge upon check in. Just include it in the price of the room and stop being sneaky!

Bay view was beautiful and entertaining

The vibe was a good combination of relaxing and fun. The food at the resort was good and plenty of options for breakfast lunch and dinner. To get off the property for food or entertainment there are a lot of options less than 10 miles from the resort.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mission Bay Resort. We enjoyed coffee shop, the walking path each morning, the fireworks from Sea World and the friendly wait staff in the pool area. The daily fees are a little expensive especially since there isn’t any amenities besides the pool. The hot tub is super small, but the large pool makes up for it. We enjoyed the restaurants and the food.

Nice family resort. Relaxing by the bay and fun things to do for families. Convenient location and super nice staff.

Lots of homeless in the park adjacent yo the property

On the upside: Beautiful property, spacious room, excellent proximity to the bay. On the down side: not enough food choices, noisy but it's a family place
