Our stay was very pleasant.

My friend and I stayed at the Sheraton San Diego for a birthday weekend—our first time in the city. We appreciated the free airport shuttle and were excited to check in, but our experience quickly went downhill. The front desk agent we first spoke to was cold and unhelpful, telling us we’d need to wait two hours for a room. Even basic questions about parking were met with short, dismissive answers. An hour later, another staff member told us our room was ready and said it was an “upgrade,” but it was located in the Lanai building—far from the main tower, hard to find, and lacking privacy. Later that night, we returned to the front desk and met Michael Powell and Richard Estrada, who completely changed our experience. They were kind, compassionate, and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. Richard moved us to a nicer room in the main tower, and Michael waived our first night’s resort fee and gave us a resort credit for my friend’s birthday. Pros: Free airport shuttle, great main tower room, outstanding service from Michael and Richard. Cons: Poor first impression, $36/night resort fee, $50/night parking, underwhelming Lanai room. Overall, we appreciated the excellent service from Michael and Richard, but the overall value and inconsistent experience mean we likely wouldn’t book again.

I checked in online the night before in my Bonvoy app and asked for a text and mobile key when room was ready. Neither came. Arrived at hotel at 3:55 (check in was 4:00) Waited in line about 10 minutes and then was told I would need to wait for the room to be ready. Sat in lobby until 4:35! Watched other people who checked in after me head up to their room. (Yes, I know they might haves had different room type) Picked up key, Bianca was very polite and offered to refund money ($50) for self parking for the waiting time for the room. Room was horrific. Bottom floor, next to ice machine, looked out at hotel entrance circle and gravel roof. Why the hell did I pay for marina view?! Walked back down and asked if we could be moved. They did move us to the marina side, couple floors up, but 2 queens, not the king I had paid for. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Overall, would not stay here again.

Bay Tower seems to be like an overflow facility. You need to make it as lively destination as the Marina property

Everything was absolutely perfect during our fooe night stay - this is a truly fabulous hotel. The waterfront location sets the tone, and from the beautiful remodel to the wonderful outdoor lounging and pool areas, the beachy-nautical vibe comes through. The lobby is tastefully done, the staff attentive and responsive. The hotel sits on the waterfront, with 2-3 miles pf walking trails. The store was nic'cekt'y equipped, everything quality - and the coffee was great! Overall, ithe Sheraton could not have been better - a great stay!!!

The Bay Tower is shabby . Looks worn and tired. Not worthy of the cost.

After returning home, I found at least 10 bed bug bites all over my body. I was happy at first when they allow early check-in, but now very regretful that I had asked early check-in. :(

Always our favorite night to stay. The Harbor is beautiful.
