Super 8 by Wyndham Riverside/Kansas City

I discovered several bed bug bites on my second day. That was it for me

The location was perfect for what we needed, however, the beds were much smaller than we expected them to be. They was barely enough room for 2 average adults. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom were good. I would like to thank the early morning staff for making coffee early for us- super helpful!

The room just felt dirty walking in. I didn't feel comfortable taking my shoes off on that floor. Glad I didn't because there was a bug on the floor in the bathroom, behind the door. The water pressure is terrible, even just in the sink. We stayed here for the free breakfast and pool. Breakfast was toast, cereal and "frozen" waffles. The waffles were room temperature with the bread. One milk jug was empty, we threw it away, and a worker immediately came and got it from the trash...i feel like they refill it or something. I chose not to eat because of cleanliness. The pool, looks like it hasn't seen water for years. Very disappointing in the stay.

For us, the room was just fine. The bed was comfortable and bedding clean. The room itself did have a weird smell, but that might be because they are remodeling several rooms (not ours yet). The gal at the front desk was very sweet. The only off thing was, we made our reservation on hotels.com, then I was asked if I wanted an upgrade to a King for an extra four dollars. Well yes we would, thank you! At the hotel, they didn't get the information - I showed it still pending on my side in the app. The husband came up to the desk and charged us an extra $10 for the upgrade, which was a discount from $14. We just got home last night so will check to see if we ended up paying the entire $14. If we did, we are calling it good. I just want to mention it so people know. While $14 is not a lot, yes it is! In spite of this, we are still rating the stay a 4 because it was a better stay than a 3.

Terrible terrible terrible. A/c didn’t work. The place didn’t have an elevator for anyone who can’t walk up stairs. The only room with a king size bed that I reserved couple days ahead of time didn’t lock from the hallway. Just terrible

No elevator, seniors had to carry luggage up 20 steps. Continental breakfast was BARE minimum, had to staff to fix grounds in coffee canteen and to bring out some apple juice. Was charged $15 for extra person in double bed room because I missed noting 2 when booking. And still waiting to get my Wyndham points.

The rooms were not clean. I saw 3 of them and all were bad. There were holes burned in the sheets of the beds.the first room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. I found a cockroach in my room on day 3 of a 5 day stay, so they had me switch rooms. They showed me 2 other rooms, but both were dirty. Options were limited, so I picked the less dirty of the two. Couldn't wait to check out. Will not stay here again.

Easily accessible to Kansas and Missouri

Room was fiflty,Bad odor throughout hotel,Walls were stained and bathroom was disgusting, fecal matter and stained,bathroom fan made loud noise and couldnt turn it off cause it to,was wired to light switch as T.V. was also wired to bathroom switch.Funiture was trashed,Cabinet door hanging from broken hinge.Couldnt even shut it closed.Absoultly the worst room and hotel I ever stayed at and.payed over 130.00 after taxes and lets not forget the 100.00 room deposit you dont get ack till 3 to 5 business days.

We got a text offering to check in online, so I did. Then when we arrived I had to do the very same thing again- drivers license, credit card & make/ model of vehicle. And it was all prepaid with hotels.com already having all my information anyway! I think $100 deposit for a super 8 is ridiculous!! And the carpet along the walls & corners were FILTHY.

Bed bugs!

This hotel was within 15 minutes driving distance of everything we wanted to do. Very good spot and quiet. There are some updates that the property needs but all in all great price, great location, and good times.

Close to the casino.

I called the motel the day before my check-in to confirm they had my room. The man I talk to told me that I had reserved a handicap room with a very small bed. He told me I should call Expedia and cancel my room and then book it through him Directly and he would upgrade me to a king size room for free. I told him I wasn’t comfortable doing that the next day when I arrived at the property, he told me the same thing. I told him that I had checked in online already, but made me go through the process again When he showed me the room that he was gonna give me I told him I wasn’t happy with it that I wanted to ring with the king size bed. I ended up having to pay him an extra $28 to get a king size bed. The room was dirty. The shower stall was flaking that night when I turned down the bedsheets that were black hairs on the sheets the overall experience was horrible.

Looks like nice budget hotel on the outside but stepping inside gives a very different vibe. The property is not taken care of although the front desk clerk was nice everything went downhill after that. We got in late/ early Saturday night/Sunday morning so when I washed my face and had very low water pressure and no hot water didn’t worry me to much. But when I got up Sunday morning to shower there was no hot water. I called the front desk (it was 6:30am) he came to “fix it” and couldn’t- he was supposed to let management know, I have spoke with the lady who then said to call @ 11, I did and he was horrible to deal with and I will be calling corporate. Not to mention the shower head and faucet about cane out of the wall when we were trying to get hot water.

NOT WORTH IT AT ALL DIRTY STINKY AND NOT WORTH ANYONE TIME LAST RESORT WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE EVER

My reserved room was not available and down graded. WiFi would not work right. No table to use in room for eating. Have stayed at other super8 and they also did not have table also. Room could use touch up work and deep cleaning. Furniture in room looks like from 80’s. The casino next door was not that much more money!

This is by far one of the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and the worst part is I spent $184 which is the most I’ve ever spent on a single night hotel.
