Staff members were exceptionally attentive

Cute hotel. Just felt like the attention to detail was lacking. From check-in to breakfast buffet for the price point for hotel rate.

Great area, but the rooms smelled damp!

Room was very clean and quiet given the location. They offer valet, but I parked on the street, which is free 10PM-9AM. Would stay here again.

Old school feel, but the bath tub did not seem fully cleaned. There was difficulty getting back into our room during the night due to the lack of elevators and the bar over crowding the area.

Room was very nice--service was great and so was the location. You could not hear the rooftop club from the room but the walls were thin and the windows seemed single paned--so you could hear those going to and from the club, returning to their rooms, and even their not so loud conversations from the adjoining rooms.

We loved the hotel, unfortunately we had guests with no respect running around in the middle of the night making a lot of noise!

Excellent staff but the room was a little lacking, room needs more light, bathroom needs moor hooks and lights.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. The surrounding area was walkable and had lovely museums, parks, stores nearby to explore. The only aspect that I didn't like was the breakfast. Paying $400 a night and with the hotel having it's own restaurant on the first floor I was expecting a better breakfast. Not the stone cold waffles in prepackaged plastic and warm orange juice. It is minor thing, but when you've stayed in hotels that cost substantially less and received a hot breakfast in the morning it was surprising.

Very nice upscale hotel in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg. Bed squeaked and lighting had to be learned as one switch turned off the whole room.

Beautiful room. Odd visibility into room from outside and hallway where need to have side curtains shut. Can't beat location. Staff great. No gym or pool that I saw.

The rooms at The Birchwood are phenomenal! Large, quiet and beautiful. Had a problem with the TV remote but I called the front desk and they resolved it right away. The bar and restaurant are SO nice. They had a new bartender who obviously had no bartending experience, so drinks were slow coming and not very tasty, but everything else was top notch.

Terrible staff, loud, people drinking and making noise until 2am , you have to go outside to get to front desk after 10pm, seems one person does everything including parking your car, Management rude. No idea how this place gets good reviews.
