It seems that this property hires people based on their customer service skills. I had nothing but positive interactions with every staff member that I interacted with. To my way of thinking, this is one of the most important aspects of a business model. The Davenport Grand was a last minute reservation and they treated me like they had been awaiting my arrival. Highly recommended!

The public areas of the hote

Great location, nice size and comfortable room.

Our new room was fine except for the fact that the soap and shampoo dispensers were empty and we had to call three times to get them refilled and when they tempted to refill the dispensers, they just left the bottles on the counter. Otherwise our stay was fine.

Beautiful hotel in a great location to walk to the park and river falls bridges. Only stayed one night to catch a flight out the next day, but would love to stay there again.

Staff is always extremely friendly

The Davenport was a nice hotel. Clean and nicely decorated. Rooms were welcoming with robes and plenty of towels. Our 2nd stay and would stay in the future.

Be careful where you book. We THOUGHT we were booking the historic Davenport Hotel. This is NOT THAT. Very disappointed that we didn’t get the experience we wanted. This hotel is just fine, but it’s not the historic Davenport.

Soaps and conditioner where empty

The staff was outstanding. They were gracious and kind. It is close to the University of Idaho, and right next to a great walking path.

Sent us to the wrong room at first. Hidden charges. Room wasn’t as clean as I would’ve have liked, bathroom and shower especially.

The baseboards in & around the bathroom were filthy as was the bathroom shower & floor area. We stayed for 2 nights & there was only enough body soap in the shower for 1 day for 1 person. When we checked in we were made to have a $220+ hold on our credit card for 2 nights & the agent at the front desk could not define to us as to how the total was $220. The valet attendants & the staff in the lobby bar were wonderful. The area was very nice & clean & accessible to shops etc.

This property was great with a couple drawbacks. Check in was nice and easy and the place was surprisingly quiet for how busy it was. Drawbacks would be the room view. We were under the impression all rooms had decent views. Ours was of the HVAC.... Housekeeping finally came after 6pm. The shower was super underwhelming. I've stayed before and thought the suite would be nicer...It really wasn't.

We had a wonderful time at the Davenport Grand! Staff was so friendly and helpful! Loved the location as it was walking distance to everything we needed! Food and wine was wonderful.

We have stayed here before, but this time every interaction with employees went poorly. One of our rooms was not ready at check in time, then they wrote down the wrong room number and sent two disabled people on a wild goose chase for their room. The check in person did not ID us (weirdly). The reservation included parking, but because we had disabled people in the party we wished to use valet. The hotel refused to either refund the 2nd parking fee or apply it the valet, which I felt was very unfair. The room we waited for to be cleaned was not clean, and the tub was had hair and an ant in it. Despite being a "junior suite" the only different from the standard king seemed to be a bathtub. I did not think it was noticeably bigger, and the view was terrible. It was much closer to the elevator, which was nice for the disabled members of our party. When we checked in there was food from room service and dirty laundry sitting around in the hall, and it was still there 3 hours later when we left for dinner. No one would answer the phone at the valet desk, so it took 30 minutes to get our car out of valet. The beds are very comfortable.
