I stayed at the Tilt Hotel Universal/Hollywood for a quick trip to Universal Studios, and overall, it hit the mark for what I needed. The location was the biggest win—just under a mile from the park. You can technically walk it, but it’s uphill and a bit of a haul, so I ended up using rideshare most of the time.
The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The Hollywood-themed décor gave it some character, and the bed was surprisingly good. Staff were friendly and helpful across the board—they made check-in easy and handled a couple of minor requests quickly. I appreciated the free Wi-Fi, bottled water in the morning, and the in-room microwave and fridge. There’s also a small indoor pool, though I didn’t use it.
Now for the downsides: there’s no free breakfast, which was a little disappointing given that some listings suggest otherwise. Parking also isn’t included—it was around $25 a night. Not a deal-breaker, but something to factor into your budget. Noise from upstairs could carry a bit due to the hard floors, but it wasn’t constant. Turn on the air conditioner, thin walls are not noticed after that.
In short, the Tilt isn’t luxury, but it’s a solid, convenient option if your goal is to hit Universal Studios and have a clean, quiet place to crash nearby. I’d stay there again.
Easy drive to universal studios from this hotel, clean, quiet, check in was fast and they were prepared to help and answer any questions. Definitely coming back here.
My daughter and I stayed here for our trip to Universal studios. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. We were close enough to walk to Universal but chose to drive over since we didn't want to walk back at the end of the day. Parking is not free but was worth the cost to not have to find parking elsewhere. I would, without a doubt, stay here again.
