Air conditioning was not working. Reported to desk, when we went out. Returned at bedtime, still not working. Was not offered another room . At checkout, I inquired about a discount or refund. Was offered points towards a future stay. Won't be a future stay.

The property was convenient to DPAC. Surprised to be charge Destination Fees and Parking. These charges should be disclosed.

Hotel was easy to check in and out of. The room was very comfortable and clean.

Great location.

Our stay was phenomenal. We only stayed for one night on a road trip with our 8 month old golden retriever. They were super dog friendly and went out of their way to send dog friendly restaurant recommendations and gave her a bag of branded treats. I thought I was going to not like the internal no window room but I didn’t even notice that it wasn’t there! Will definitely stay again on another trip to Durham.

It’s okay. Kind of reminds of an old beach motel. The pool was extremely dirty but it was windy as all get out that day. Rooms were fine. Staff was excellent and extremely helpful.

The Unscripted Durham is a hotel I see often when I come to town and have always wanted to stay here. It did not disappoint!!! My boyfriend and I traveled from Philadelphia and the room was just what we needed after our long drive. Our clean, comfortable, spacious room overlooked the Bull downtown and pool area. The staff were very friendly and knowledgable and we felt right at home away from home.

It was honestly a great stay nice bed. Nice TV nice area. One thing I didn’t like is why does the shower not have a door? I didn’t get that part water all over the floor everywhere but other than that pretty dope spot.

Had to request shampoo & conditioner as none in room. Very basic set up for price - knew it was windowless but still paid $800 for 2 nights as went to an event. The TV only worked for first night - requested service 3 times and was told they would be at room shortly but no one ever arrived. Could not access Amazon or Netflix either. The TV was located to right of bed - but the bed faces forward so awkward setup. Had prepaid parking but had failed to give us a code to scan when left parking lot so paid extra. Offered a free VIP breakfast downstairs and only one staff member working doing the ordering, cooking, waitressing and fulfilling other orders. Poor woman was working really hard. Waited 35 mins and left as restaurant was filling up and people getting antsy The positives were amazing location downtown and really comfortable bed. Just disappointing service and amenities for the price. Staff were helpful and pleasant every time we approached them but eventually we just accepted were not getting any requests fulfilled so didn’t spend much time in room

Mi sono ritrovato una stanza tipo Motel dei film americani degli anni ‘60 e per di più’ a livello piscina e attaccati agli ombrelloni e sedia a sdraio. Quando ho chiesto di cambiare stanza mi hanno detto che io avevo prenotato una stanza “ vista piscina “. Ho fatto notare che vista piscina e’ diverso da una stanza a “ piano “ piscina. Per parlare con il manager ho atteso più’ di mezz’ora perché’ era….in bagno .. Inutile dire che non ho trovato alcuna volontà’ di risolvere la questione. Poi bisognava prenotare il giorno prima la pulizia della stanza. La prima giornata se ne sono dimenticati e poi sono venuti a farcela la sera; il secondo giorno lo stesso ma essendo rientrati tardi non abbiamo proprio chiesto di rifarcela.Per non parlare del fasto che non hanno un posto per il breakfast del mattino (….che non esiste …) e un posto dove poter avere una video call : solo poltrone in mezzo alla porta d’ingresso e a quella del garage. Penso che il tutto basti per dire che la catena Hyatt dovrebbe prendere provvedimenti.

Expected more for what we paid. They had an overpriced breakfast.

Will not be returning

The receptionist was awesome, friendly and helpful. The website said the pool wasn’t open yet which was untrue for guests staying there, it was closed for visitors until a later date. VIP included breakfast which was very limited but coffee plentiful, and the host for breakfast was delightful. They stored my luggage for a few hours, it felt safe and the receptionist was very helpful and accommodating!

Well first room I was given was not clean so I was placed in another room. I was satisfied with that and the staff was apologetic and accommodating. Thank you for trying to redeem yourself. I appreciate that.

The Friday and Saturday service desk reps were great. However, the room air conditioner and room telephone didn't work despite the maintenance person's attempt to fix them, TV apps like Netflix didn't work because the internet service was poor, so I had to walk down to the front desk, and there was no soap in the shower dispenser. Plus, I tried to use a food voucher on Saturday at 9:30 am, but they ran out of the sandwiches I wanted and didn't offer a reasonable substitute or compensation.

Unscripted is centrally located in downtown Durham - a big plus if you're in the mood to walk the city. We enjoyed our stay but do not expect a very updated hotel with modern amenities. The real letdowns that will likely make this our first and last stay was the surprise $15.00 per day 'Destination Fee' (which was not mentioned or made clear on Hotels.com), and no clear mention of breakfast availability for us. But hey, at least the $25.00 per day parking fee is mentioned up front. Luckily, many restaurants are within walking distance, and we enjoyed some really good food & beverages.
