Good 1 night stay, simple with basic necessaries...

Staff member was great. Could not have done anymore for us. From bar to evening meal and breakfast, he was so polite and helpful. A perfect host. Room was ok. Could do with a bit of TLC but good value family room. We would stay again as the food was good and the service was exemplary.

A,warm welcome and very nice place to stay, and a lovely country pub/restaurant

Our stay was for two nights, with no-one on reception in mornings. They advertise breakfast which is not available as kitchen does not open until mid-day…a promise of toast in room, never arrived!! The room had holes in the walls, the radiator was chipped and valve fell off in my hand. The bathroom shower cubicle was not clean and the toilet was disgusting, it was cleaner when we left than it was on arrival! The main door is shut by -7.00hrs when you then have to use a back door! How it has 3 stars is a puzzle, it does not deserve 1!!

Such a shame to leave this review. Nice pub great location but...the evening meal on arrival was almost inedible burnt fish and chips. About mid night the fire alarm went off , there is no resident staff so all guests were in the carpark for about an hour until the owner turned up by car.. breakfast was tasty

Lovely welcome from bar staff. Room was a good size. Bathroom I felt could have been cleaned better. Nice quiet location.

Nous avons réservé 2 chambres double a moins de 60€ chacune. Les chambres sont cosy. Il y a le nécessaire pour tout. C est très calme et zen.

Very quiet. Chef unavailable for breakfast. Main reception and bar area/lounge locked at 10pm and no staff on site thereafter. Fire exit open 24hrs to access accommodation which must raise security and insurance issues. That said location VERY quite down a single track road from Carmarthen side. Room relatively comfortable 2x double beds but floor boards very squeeky. Bathroom had damp smell but functional. Leaving at 9am both mornings still no staff on site. Bed for two nights but that's about it!

Breakfast cancelled for second night stay. Refused to make a childs burger even though adults was on menu for a 5 year old. Barely any staff around to answer questions and when they did it was like you were inconveniences to their night watching the football.

We only needed a base for a few days and the hotel was exactly what we wanted. We had a lovely meal there on the first night and our room was clean and comfortable. My only issue was the toilet flush which was a bit of a pain.

Helpful and friendly staff, evening meal in the bar was decent, breakfast was also good. Very quiet and peaceful location.

Front desk helpful in accommodating very late arrival and family room clean and well equipped. Slight problem with alarm system overnight but resolved quickly and friendly staff. Overall impressed and very practical facilities for short local stay. May use again in future if in area in future

Very dated room, very small bathroom more budget than standard type room so felt it was not quite expensive. Nice service when there was someone there. Breakfast was good quality but expensive especially at £13.50 which was more than mentioned expected (website mentioned £12.50). Will not go back.

Overall nice place. The only thing that was off - the bath which have not seen a deep clean for a very very long time…

Really friendly and welcoming place - we arrived very late and the team put a light and heating on for us, so that it was nice and cosy for us to arrive to. Spacious room - clean and tidy. My only comment was that one of the double mattresses probably needs to be replaced in the family room we stayed (the one closest to the door) - in fairness to the team, some guests have different mattress preferences… so certainly not a reason to avoid this hotel as it is a little gem! Breakfast was lovely - quick and plentiful.

Fantastically priced Dog Friendly (£20 Fee) lovely hotel. Spacious Rooms, Friendly Service & Lovely Food. Highly recommended.
