Great hotel and location

The property was very well situated in the heart of Conwy, easy access to everything. The only issues we had was due to scaffolding outside our bedroom window and work being carried out for the two days we were there. Directly outside of our window we were woken at 6:30am with banging , unable to sleep this happened the two mornings we were there and were unable to open our curtains due to workmen outside. No apologies for any inconvenience were given . The second day the whole hotel had machinery in cleaning all the carpets and floors, at no stage we were pre warned of this situation . We ordered a pacific drink the first night , the barmen made the drink , we ordered another one with dinner . Second night requested the drink and the girl flatly refused and said you only order from the list given at the bar. When I mentioned that we had this last night she wasn’t even going to help so therefore ordered a different drink . No apologies at all. The day we checked out we noticed on our billing we were charged 10% on the restaurant bill as a tip. No indication this was even asked just taken. I mentioned to management regarding working on the scaffold and he never once said , sorry for any inconvenience caused. Very disappointed.

Ideally located for visitors travelling by train and planning to see the historic sights of Conwy. The hotel has a unique charm with lots of antique furnishings in the hallways. Take the breakfast option!

I was hugely impressed by this hotel. Physically it's a characterful building. It's well looked-after, it's got a really good restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful without tipping over into being intrusive. They have sensible car-parking arrangements and the setting, in the centre of Conwy is only 5 minutes' walk from the castle. I enjoyed Conwy as a town very much as well - pretty and with shops you actually want to go to. I toured through Canterbury, Whitby, Conwy and Hay-on-Wye last week. The Castle Hotel was the most expensive that I stayed in but by far the best value.

Castle is lovely, it is in the center of Conway so convenient but also can be noisy at night. The food is excellent and they have nice cocktails

Beautiful property, lovely room, and close to everything!

The whole weekend was a success from the accommodation to the service. The staff couldnt do enough for you. The food was excellent and all freshly cooked offering a good selection. The staff were freindly, helpful and made sure we were comfortable. The castle is well situated for all the attractions that you would want to see in Conwy. The room was a good size and very clean. I would definitely recommend

The staff were excellent. The rooms were lovely and spacious. We had a dog friendly room which was really lovely. The food was delicious, the hotel is centrally positioned in Conwy. I would highly recommend a stay at this Hotel. We will return again the near future.

Thought it was ‘Tired’ in places needed bringing up to date in places thought breakfast was very overpriced and the orange juice was powdered and mixed with water would give the experience 6/10

Great location and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The property has lots of character and the rooms are comfortable, the only negative would be that it is need of a lick of paint and new carpets. On the whole it was a great stay.

We had an enjoyable stay for two nights in the castle hotel in a superior double room. The room overlooked the street and had two large sash windows and might be considered a little noisy but it wasn't too bad and earplugs are provided! The bathroom (which also had a large window) was modern and spacious and functioned very well. It had a bath which was a treat. The windows opened (always a bonus) but needed a proper to support them.The bed was very comfortable and there was hanging space for clothes. There was a coffee machine and kettle for making drinks, complimentary water every day and biscuits. The room wasn't big but did have a couple of chairs and a desk. There was plenty of variety available at breakfast and service there was very good.

Very comfortable, nice to have an onsite restaurant. Great breakfasts. Staff were very accommodating. Nice furnishings in the room - modern bathroom. I left my jacket in the wardrobe and realized 4 days later! I emailed and received a quick response. Housekeeping had it and it was posted to me the next day. Thank you so much!

Enjoyable stay at Castle Hotel, staff very friendly, had a Sunday lunch there which I would recommend.

Great local - everything was in walking distance. Friendly staff & accommodating! The hotel had a warm & welcoming vibe. The food was delicious! They also offered onsite parking.

Great hotel for a short stay

We were able to park behind the building, but big vehicles might not be able to. A tour bus used the lot in front of the building, so it wasn't available to us. Hotel has a very convenient location for looking at the harbor and going to the castle and Plas Mawr. Relatively quiet. Very spacious suite. The problem we had was that it was pretty hot outside and there wasn't AC. There was a fan, which helped us sleep. But we couldn't open the bedroom window in the evening because of smells from the kitchen below. Otherwise, I liked the hotel.

Great location

Hotel was lovely, staff friendly. We took our two dogs and they were welcome in most parts of hotel. Small patch of grass available for them to use. Food really nice, usual pub food. Our room was on very top floor - narrow steep staircase between mid and top floor. No lifts so everything had to be carried. Room was spacious and some lovely touches to welcome us although a mini fridge would have been great.
