Room.was very clean with a few little extra touches. Staff were very helpful. Not luxurious but perfectly acceptable for a couple of nights. Breakfast was good for an extra payment. Convenient location for town. Would definitely use again.

Parking has been great in the past. I have been coming here for years. Have always enjoyed perfect accommodations and food. The pub has always been friendly. I feel very much at home here.

Friendly and helpful. The room is a basic room above a bar . No frills but has the basics, bathroom, bed and kettle. Comfortable bed

Staff very helpfull. Close to town, couple of min walk. Rooms were dated but still very clean and comfortable. Good on site parking I would stay again.

Good breakfast on site parking

The beds were extremely uncomfortable and there was a lot of traffic noise. There were also people smoking and talking loudly beneath our window in the early hours which is unacceptable.

Reasonable budget accommodation

Very welcoming and comfortable for our visit to Monmouth. Very good value for money.

The Rivetside Hotel is quite run down, scruffy and dirty in some areas. The corridor windows and silks were full of cobwebs and dead flies/midges. Worn stair carpets. The rooms were clean but very basic and there was mould in the bottom of our shower. The whole place could do with a re-vamp. The breakfast however, was great, fresh and tasty. So no complaints there and location is good except all rooms face quite a busy road so you do get traffic noise at night. Overall I would give it a 4/10 accommodation and 7/10 breakfast

It’s an ideal venue for friends meeting up to explore the area. Staff are friendly, parking is easy and it is well located.

Easy access to town centre Vicky was great really welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and although on the main road room was quiet and peaceful.

Great place to stay - close to everything with parking. Comfy and clean room.

Excellent budget hotel . Short walk over Monnow Bridge to town centre

This was a one night stay when going to a new years eve party so did not try the food as we did not get back to the hotel until early morning so missed breakfast. Rooms old but spotless. Reception verry helpful.
