Great atmosphere. Room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very helpful. Taxis into town were organized by reception - wended up using the same driver all week. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Great mid range option.

It’s a lovely small hotel where everyone is so friendly and helpful. The room was delightful with full wrap around mossie nets, there is a ceiling fan and aircon. The food is delicious, can recommend the eggs Benedict for breakfast. The bar s also very pleasant.

Fantastic! Very clean and staff very accommodating. We had 3 room all together which was fantastic.

Check-In war gut und zügig. Der Zustand der Anlage war ok, ebenso das Zimmer. Das Frühstück und auch das Abendessen waren unterdurchschnittlich. Es war das erste Hotel in 10 Jahren das die zweite Tasse Kaffee extra berechnet hat - sehr kleinkariert bei einem Büffet. Ich habe dieses Hotel aufgrund der Bewertungen ausgewählt und zwei Nächte vom 22.09. - 24.09. gebucht. Einige Tage vor Ankunft bat ich darum, meinen Aufenthalt um einen Tag vorzuverlegen, also auf den 21.09.25 - 23.09.25. Daraufhin erhielt ich eine E-Mail wonach am 21.09. das Hotel vollständig ausgebucht wäre. Eine Stunde nach Erhalt dieser E-Mail buchte ich dieses Hotel für diese eine Nacht. Das ist auch eine Möglichkeit, den Kunden das Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen. Darauf angesprochen bedauerte man dieses „Missverständnis“. Also nein, dieses Hotel kann ich nicht empfehlen

Great room, great service, food was okay not great.

Staff very friendly and helpful

The lodge was everything we expected from the stay in Africa at the Victoria Falls. The room was spacious, clean and decorated to make you feel you were in Africa. The breakfast, lounge, and pool ambiance, coupled with very efficient service, makes this an excellent choice when staying at the Victoria Falls

ll good except a tough steak

It’s just fabulous service is excellent they cannot do enough to help, room was really spacious and clean and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Food was excellent and great value, my only gripe was that they used glass by the pool but other than that FANTASTIC !!!!

THERE WAS NO FILTER COFFEE IN THE ROOM AND THE FILTER COFFE IN THE DINING ROOM WAS WAY TOO STRONG. I AM A COFFEE LOVER AND THIS WAS A SERIOUS PROBLEM FOR ME. Also, there was no soap, shower gel etc - first hotel I have been to where this is not provided. We asked for some, which was then brought to the room

Its homely, felt safe and liked the beautiful well manicured gardens. The rooms are spacious. The place is ideal for those who have a great taste for nature and those who love a breath of fresh air

We loved our stay at Shongwe. It was beautiful, and the food was amazing.

The staff are great and the grounds are beautiful. The pool is a bit smaller than the pics make it seem but still lovely.

Alles perfekt: Zimmer, Pool, Service, Restaurant. Nur etwas abseits gelegen. Wenn es sehr heiß ist besser ein Taxi ins Zentrum nehmen.

Excellent new hotel. Room was wonderful. Big and spacious with comfortable bed. Resort is beautiful. Great tower with a sunset view. Pool is nice. Staff were friendly - Aubrey was very helpful. Restaurant is nice but somethings on menu not available and priced a little high for the local area. Definitely recommend staying here!
