The tour operator, Mr Jumadi with his wife, Ms Widya as his assistant, brought us to the tour destinations. We started our journey to Tumpak Sewu first since bromo was closed for the Tengger ritual, it took us 5 hours drive from Surabaya airport. We stayed at Yanto Homestay nearby the waterfall. Our next destination was bromo, from Tumpak Sewu it took another 5 hours drive to the hotel. We stayed at Yoschi’s hotel. We went to sunrise spot by jeep at 3am. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t being cooperative and we couldn’t see mount bromo. We decided to cancel our trip to ijen as it was a tiring trip for us due to travelling time and lack of sleep. So, we decided to return to surabaya, it was just a 2 hours drive from bromo to surabaya city. They booked us a room at Amaris hotel and we decided to end our trip in Surabaya earlier the next day and flew to Labuan Bajo. In short, it was a nice trip and we felt like a family with Mr Jumadi.
