Although the Westin was away from the city, we found the area of Elk Grove to be really nice with many places to eat and get coffee. It was a bit slower pace which we appreciate. It has a nice restaurant inside and a snack/coffee shop. The staff was very attentive if you needed anything.

Charging $9.95 per day per device for wifi is a rip off. Thats very cheap like how motels might nickle-n-dime you. If you have big brand name, do not do such pathetic things. The bathroom wooden frame for the counter is made of untreated/unfinished cheap wood. It warping because of all the moisture. The room was very big and spacious but the bathroom was teeny-weeny - if someone’s swings the door in, it will hit anyone brushing their teeth or sitting in the toilet. The safe vault did NOT work period. The shower water took a full 10 mins to get hot. We attended a wedding event Saturday. There weren’t even appropriate signs for Saturday wedding event. The signage was better for the Sunday event, The bagels for breakfast had some yellow powdery residue on it on both the days. I’ve never seen bagels with powdery residue or anything non-bagel-y on it anywhere. My first thought was - is this mold by any chance ? For breakfast they had an oddball $10 room charge printed on the check. What am I to make of it ? The waiter explained that it doesn’t apply to me. Then why print it to confuse me !?! For the brand name, property, facilities and Whats on offer needs to be flawless.

It was a business event and the staff was great and accommodating.

I came the day of Prom Celebration and a Wedding event. The check-in was like finding Waldo because there was o er 500+ ppl in the lobby. I got to my room late evening and I thought I would rest early because I had a early event to attend. Around 10pm music started and it had a lot of bass. Ear plugs didn’t help because you can feel the bass from the speakers. I called CS and the advised the ear plugs and asked if I wanted to switch room. I said that’s inconvenient and why would music start so late at night. It last til the early morning and I was upset. So ask if there is and parties or events before you get a room, and if you do make it’s away from the party room because it sounds like a Club or Bar.

The stay was great we went on a weekend where there were 3 weddings 😬. Overall it was great!
