Beautiful hotel, great service and location. Definitely will stay there next time!

Although it is an older property it is a nice hotel and located in a nice section of the city - right across the street from the Public Gardens. Coffee was complimentary as my room came equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker. The walk to downtown Halifax took about fifteen minutes. Lastly, the price for my two night stay was very reasonable.

They charge me $176 because I was sick food poison dirty their washroom and the bed sheet with 2 stain Very bad service I will never go back to this hotel

Lord nelson was great. Very accommodating when my flight was cancelled. Also provided me with all the bottled water i could drink. Great location too! I would definitely stay here again!

I had a wheelchair accessible roommate. It was fantastic. The bathroom was well equipped. They even had an adjustable reclining chair in the room. Couldn’t have been happier with my stay.

Excellent location and historical touch.You get everything you need in Spring Garden St. Staff was very pleasant, particularly the porters. Doors have to be slightly adjusted so that they close in a slowler fashion. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dalhousie University or the downtown area.

Friendly staff, clean room and lots of amenities.

From the moment we pulled up we were greeted by the friendliest bellman, he was funny and very helpful. Check in was a breeze, we were greeted with smiles and chocolate. The room was clean and the extras were appreciated. The restaurant attached was excellent as well, delicious food and top knotch service, our server was amazing and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is tastefully updated, sparkling clean, and the staff were helpful to a fault. We had to move from a property we were very unhappy with, and they allowed us to check in at noon. Highly recommend.

I stayed in the petite room and it was perfect for a one night stay. It was clean and had plenty of coffee and tea to enjoy.

Great location for walking about. Room was good with a very comfortable bed. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Out room was quiet even with it facing the street.

Room was clean and close to the elevator. Parking is extra so take that into account when booking.

We always stay at the The Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites when we’re in Halifax. It has that rare old world standard of service, gracious, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful without ever feeling performative. The staff go out of their way to anticipate needs and make you feel truly welcome. They do not just meet expectations, they quietly raise them. Dining at The Arms Public House is just as impressive. The food is consistently excellent, refined without being fussy, and always memorable. Add in the easy parking, central location across from the Public Gardens, and the hotel’s historic charm, and it is hard to imagine staying anywhere else.
