Beautiful old hotel, built in early 1800. Comfortable warm room. I love The Halliburton.

Lovely holiday getaway in the city. The Halliburton is so quaint, welcoming, clean and very reasonably priced. We have found a new favourite in the city!

We arrived early and had no problem checking. The parking lot at the back had a lot of space and the beds were very comfortable. Everything I want in a hotel.

Parking lot is a bit awkward but street parking was easy. Not accessible for anyone with wheelchair. Small bathroom, but everything we needed. We liked it!

Wonderful place to stay

As always, we enjoyed a clean and well appointed room with a comfortable bed. The front desk staff kindly moved us to the front of the building, as there was construction going on in the back. We enjoyed the evening refreshments in the main inn - kind and caring staff, in a lovely heritage setting, close to the waterfront - we loved it.

The hotel is very charming, beautifully appointed. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, the "fireplace" heater a wonderful touch in the sitting room. The location is great, walking distance to the boardwalk, Neptune theater, as well as lots of great restaurants and shopping. Staff was very friendly and wonderfully accommodating. We had a wonderful relaxing long weekend there. We lucked out with parking for the whole weekend, but there are very limited spots at the building itself. One drawback is no elevator (our room was on second floor), so if that is a concern, make sure to ask for a room on the first floor. The only big negative was the restaurant/bar was closed. When we booked, we were not made aware of this. We have friends in Halifax, and we'll definitely be staying here again.

We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfy. All 3 mornings we enjoyed the breakfast that we ordered online the night before…5 selections for $15. It was excellent. If we’re staying in Halifax, we’ll always choose the Halliburton.

The hotel’s ambience - the library was perfect. A room I want in my house!

Everything was ok except no hot water in the shower.
