Lovely hotel with very helpful, friendly staff

Pool was out of action first day which was unfortunate.Air conditioning did not work well.Breakfast was very good.

The room was fine, however the central air conditioning for the bedroom was not functioning correctly and as such as not producing cold air. A fan had already been provided in the room but with temperatures of c. 30c this was insufficient for a good night's sleep. No offer of compensation was made at check out.

Fabulous hotel right in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. We enjoyed a lovely stay and our upgraded room was perfect. Thanks so much Laura.

The hotel was ok, a small section was a nice historical building with character but large bits are new and dated and not in a good way. The rooms where very hot and not air conditioned, it was cooler going outside in the 30+ def then it was in the room. By biggest annoyance was the parking l, they have lots of it but it’s an extra £7 a night per vehicle, not per space. Now I know that seems an odd thing to say, but I stayed the with my father and we both traveled up by motorcycle. So we only take up one space yet we where made to pay twice that if a car!!! We could have both parked in a space each but that’s petty. I felt the venue didn’t really care about its guests and where out to make as much as they could, it seems like a computer says no, type place with no common sense or consideration for guests that don’t fit there norm. I wouldn’t stay there again at the prices they charge + the hidden extras. Also all the staff seemed to be dressed differently no real uniform structure, no an issue, but it did make it slightly harder to identify staff from guests. Apart from the reception staff and one young lady on the bar all other staff seemed like they where maintenance staff that where mucking in to help with waiting on guest and bring out food. Overall a very underwhelming experience and stay.

Staff were lovely,as was room etc. but aircon was not working and room was very warm (window didn’t open very far). A fan was provided, which helped but was faulty (made terrible noise over certain speed). A great location (short walk into town) and would stay again but must sort the AC out.

Great stay, delicious breakfast and food in general and the staff were very helpful. A special thanks to Roger and Elizabeth for making our stay that extra bit special.

No air conditioning, despite being advertised as having it, waited 40 minutes to check in with no apologies and when I got into the room, on the hottest day of the year, the room was 48 degrees with a window that opened two inches!!! I requested a full refund from the duty manager who didn’t seem to care at all and kept us waiting another 40 minutes before arguing that because I bought it through Expedia there was nothing he could do. I got Expedia on the phone who confirmed I had paid at the property and therefore they were the merchant. Eventually we got a refund and booked into another property. Six other people were complaining at the same time! Will not be visiting here again!

Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely grounds

Blisteringly hot in the room and a/c not working. Windows all restricted opening so impossible to get through draft. Breakfast ok but good coffee would be a useful addition - and please will someone go a try a proper French croissant before serving these chewy tired imitations. Location great, pool a fabulous addition. Could be so good - just needs to belong to an organisation who care.

So excellent location for RSC theatre and Stratford, relatively cheap, good parking, nice pool, dog friendly… downsides … vanilla quality big hotel mass tourism, as far from boutique as possible. A/c not working on a hot day, rooms a bit tired.

For £285 for one night I was expecting a hell of a lot more. Tired rooms, bathroom and bed all in dire need of an update. TV channels didn't work. Very disappointed and not worth the cost.

Room is good size and comfortable. Aircon didn’t work very well. Some reception staff were good but one, possibly new, didn’t seem to know what to do. We’ve stayed before and it’s very handy for the theatre with plenty of parking at reasonable cost. We didn’t have breakfast this time as we’ve eaten there before and it was dreadful. We had tea in the bar while waiting for checkin but were driven out by the awful muzac and the constant thudding, headache inducing beat in every song. Unfortunately you could also hear it in the nearby sitting room. Guests should be aware that there are no lifts and frequent short flights of steps with no ramps.

Not a luxury hotel by any standards. Only good thing about it is location if you want to visit Stratford up on Avon and surroundings areas. Upgrade we bought not available. Food above average. I suppose it’s actually an ok hotel but sells itself as something much more so you naturally come away disappointed and dissatisfied.

Yes I had a great stay sadly I wasn’t able to do the dining experience or my breakfast but nevertheless clean sheets fantastic bed maybe just a little bit better on the tea and coffee side. I didn’t want to bother anybody for the fresh milk that should be in the fridge but all in all fantastic day, thank you

Everything was fine, friendly, helpful staff, good room, well fur is her. Only a few niggles - a pancake shower is not user friendly for a Quick shower, no USB sockets in the room, room service after 9pm was rather limited.
