This hotel deserves its 4 * title! Tucked away in the quiet streets of Kyoto, this hotel has much to offer in terms of its services, bedroom space and awesome breakfast options at a pretty affordable price. Rooms were spotless and larger than most hotels in its class within its vicinity of Kyoto. All rooms came equipped with the basic necessities that one would need. There was an additional Sharp purifier in the middle section of the room which we appreciated. The only one gripe we had was a stain at the tip of the kettle's mouth used to boil hot water. We requested it to be changed the next morning along with the cleaning service for the room and they happily complied. The hotel also offers additional transportation options for visitors as they are aware the hotel's location can be quite a tad bit far from any convenient train station. They offer a shuttle bus service to and fro from within walking distance of Karasuma Oike station no questions asked whether you are a legit customer of the hotel. They even went as far to delay the bus schedule because we were repacking some stuffs into our luggage as we were leaving the hotel to the next destination. The hotel had two breakfast offering to choose from; Japanese or French using their voucher which is given upon check in. They were both a delight. Japanese breakfast was a fixed set which came with a variety of dishes such as grilled Saba, salmon, tamago, miso soup, rice, pickled and mixed vegetables and a hot hojicha. The French option had a respectable amount of variety as well with delightful pastries and croissant that were fluffy and exceeded expectations. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would happily recommend to anyone to try this hotel out for their Kyoto vacation!
