I’ve stayed in many Ramadas over the years. They’ve always been a solid choice. This was the worst I’ve ever experienced by far. It’s old and run down. But even then, if the staff was positive, friendly and helpful you could overlook the other stuff. Not my experience. Also heads up if you have mobility issues, there is no lift. Lots of stairs. And many long connected hallways to get to the room.

Very comfortable bed and great breakfast

Dirty hallways, leaking rusty ice machines, mold in the bathroom, broken couch, saggy bed, dirty sheets, the breakfast; uncooked scrambled eggs, dried out sausage, leaking coffee machine, questionable food safe practices with dairy items and pastries, screaming residences, shady long term people. I booked and paid for 2 nights cost $420 total and I only stayed 1 night because I was so exhausted from traveling however I could not leave fast enough in the morning, of which upon leaving and walking to my vehicle I saw someone shooting up right outside the front door and as I approached my vehicle there was someone trying to get into my vehicle. DO NOT STAY HERE, JUST BECAUSE ITS A NATIONAL NAME BRAND HOTEL IT DOES NOT MEET THE RAMADA STANDARDS OR ANY REASONABLE SAFE AND HEALTH PRACTICES.

This place was filthy. Chuncks of dirt in the halls and dirty walls. All ice machines broken. Signs falling off walls and left on floor. No amenities. No blow dryer in room, non available at desk. No bottle opener available at desk. Rooms are in poor condition. Dirty. Rusty. Smell like smoke. Ripped towels. The staff were very pleasant and doing their best considering the work conditions. They tried and were responsive.

The actual room and bathroom were clean. The common areas aside from the lobby were not well maintained or clean. We had viewed the hotel on a Website that claimed it was a 3 star and had a pool and hot tub and showed pictures of these. So we were disappointed that the pool and hot tub have been closed for 5 years. The breakfast was unremarkable. On our second day we skipped it. It was quiet during the night and we slept well. It’s now the second day since our stay and we are still waiting for our email receipt to arrive. If we ever visit Thunder Bay again we wouldn’t choose this hotel.

The room I was in had stained comforter, cracked glass on the window, the phone didn’t work to call front desk, the alarm clock didn’t work, there was bottle caps on the floor. The breakfast was powdered eggs and gross. I made a complaint and they were able to put me in another room which was slightly better, however, the base of the boxspring was covered with yellow stained dirt. Staff were friendly and helpful, however, hotel itself was very poor condition. I checked out the pool and it had about a quarter full of water. Disappointing to say the least.

This was disgustingly dirty and run down. The front desk staff were friendly so hope this does not reflect on them.

Potholes in parking lot. First room smelled like cigarette smoke, second room the toilet was broken third room ok but holes in carpet and drapes. Breakfast was nice.

WARNING! 1- All the walls and carpets super dirty! 2- lots of noise inside the room from other rooms 3- you can smell smoke even in non-smoking rooms And may more… Pay some extra money and book somewhere else and respect yourself

Someone opened my door while I was asleep and stole my bags. I would like to be accompanied for that.

Staff was ok, food was good but smell of the property was sooo awful! The hallways stinks with cigarette and weed. Outside is the parking lot and a bunch of people gathered talking like tripping. It was too late- tired and sleepy so didn’t bother to leave.

I changed rooms twice!! Noise and dirty tiles in bathroom!! Room was still super noisy did not have a great sleep!! Breakfast was picked over and looked unpresentable! Hot water was cold

Parking was confusing and took a bit to find where we should park in relation to our room. The room was so dirty I didn't want to shower as I thought I might pick something up. I am an asthmatic and had a hard time breathing all night, my son was up half the night itchy, we found in the morning mold on the wall by the window. I alerted the front desk upon check out. Overall not a good experience and I won't be back. I feel the room was definitely overpriced.

That was the most run down sketchy hotel I've ever seen in person I had to leave it was to unsanitary and way to unsafe. It's a homeless shelter. Shame on this place.

Breakfast was cold. Hotel needs serious repairs and updates. Foreigners are milking it for every dollar they can get and obviously not reinvesting in the property. Extension cords throughout my room. It looks as though it was a beautiful hotel, bar and dining room at one time but not anymore.

Breakfast stone cold. Tv so dark hard to see Channel changer broken restaurant not open at night. No supper available. Carb keys needed recoding to get in room bathroom sink tap almost to stiff to operate. Bathtub bottom was in such bad shape wouldn’t use Coffee machine needed to be plugged in physically to start. We chose this hotel as it was mid-range price. The staff are awesome and helpful. It is always so nice to be met by people who are genuinely warm and caring. The property itself is very tired, very dated. There is plenty of garbage around in the parking lot. It does not seem to have been cleaned up at any point recently. The carpet in the hallways is covered in pieces of garbage, it really needs a good vacuum. The beds are EXCELLENT!! What they have replaced is great! Other than a comfy bed the room is lacking. The bathroom fixtures and walls and floor is very dated, chipped, in some places falling apart. The buffet breakfast was a very pleasant surprise and the food was fresh and well attended. It was a noisy hotel for our stay, noise continuing on until nearly 3am both inside and outside. There is an authentic Mexican restaurant on the property. The food is spectacular! If you don’t mind the noise, don’t mind the dirt, don’t mind the price you will have a good sleep.
