Great location, modern, great atmosphere too

Everything about the hotel was fantastic. We were within walkable distance to everything. Staff amazing and extremely helpful. The room was comfortable. I was there in October. I could see where the open quad area that the bedroom windows faced could be loud in the warmer months.

Reception area is lovely, clean and up to date but room was very disappointing. Specifically booked a room with a bath (marathon Running). Sent email prior to arrival to confirm this and received confirmation from the hotel. Allocated a room without a bath on arrival. Contacted reception who said they didn’t have one as other people had requested it. I queried how they got it and I didn’t when I’d contacted months ago. Said they would see what they could do. Offered a smaller room which was semi-accessible with bath but it was a very small room, very dark and grubby. It was our anniversary along with the marathon and that felt like a downgrade. Reception said they’d see if there was one at the rate purchased but they couldn’t guarantee it. I queried how this was the case as they knew who had checked in and which rooms had baths. No update from them. Our room had damaged paintwork, stains on sheets and hand marks on the headboard. Staff were not very attentive- ignored at coffee bar despite the member of staff standing next to me then given the wrong drink three times at the actual bar. Good location but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Very low water pressure! Hard to shower

The staff, location, and early check-in experience were absolutely fantastic. Room 213 was beautifully presented, featuring a stunning 65” TV, although it was oddly still logged into someone else’s account. Unfortunately, the stay was let down by the noise levels. The window didn’t block out much sound from the road or passing pedestrians, and having the ice machine directly outside the room meant late-night disturbances from guests using it. On a brighter note, breakfast was lovely and well-prepared. Overall, a great stay in many ways, but the room’s noise issues did impact the experience…
