There’s not a lot of choices for breakfast buffet. We stay for 6 days, same variety of breakfast everyday. We asked the waiter for a pack breakfast but we did not get it. The room is too hot for a small fan. Fresh cold water in the reception is good.

I arrived at the hotel at 23.15 and was greeting by the man in reception. After filling in your extensive form, which let’s be honest is so out of date, I asked if the bar was open, I was told no it closes at 23.00, I asked if it was possible to buy a soft drink to take to the room with me, again I was told no, the only option I had was to go to McDonald’s or Tesco. Even a Travelodge has somewhere you can buy a drink. Very short sighted. I made my thoughts clear this morning on check out. The gentleman reminded me that you do advertise your bar hours. I quickly pointed out that when I turned the TV on in the room you were also advertising 24 hour room service which also isn’t available. Disappointing.

It’s well worth staying at the Copthorne,plenty to do in Cardiff and easy to reach,bus route to the town centre,

Staff were very efficient and welcoming. The room was a great size and the bed was very large and comfortable.

Great value rooms. Well worth it

This newly reopened hotel is lovely and the outdoor terrace and lake view was a lovely surprise. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would stay again if in the area.

Problèm on toilets.. difficulty on wifi ...breakfast excellent...personnel morning and accueil excellent .quiet excellent .... ..restaurant medium. .. Good hôtel...

The hotel is nice, The rooms are a little dated but the bed is comfortable and room was clean. The shower was good. The restaurant and bar area is very nice and the food was really good. Staff were nice and friendly also. The rooms don't have air con.

Most of the hotel facilities were out of use, it was dated… but staff were great

Bathroom had seen better days, although adequate.

Big bed and very comfortable. Not a very fresh smelling room. No Air Con. dodgy plug for the fan. Not good on a hot night. I will not return.

Really enjoyed our 1 night stay. Everything was great, the staff (especially Kate on reception) the room, the setting, the cleanliness and the buffet style breakfast was excellent.

More tea, coffee, milk in the room, free cold water bottles in the room and more than half a roll of toilet roll other than that a great stay

Helpful staff but need to get the gym open!

The only issue for me was the TV hard to work out but also no Netflix or something bit basic
