Nice business overnight stay

Great location, 15 mins from the NEC which I was visiting for an exhibition. Staff are great, friendly & helpful. Breakfast was a highlight, cooked option was from local produce

The bedroom was comfortable and clean. We stayed two nights and used the pool both days. The poolside was a bit uneven and the floor felt like the stone was brittle. We had a meal in the restaurant on the first night which was very good, the bar meal on the second night was ok but there weren't a lot of tables or seats to eat at. We had breakfast included so too advantage but it was probably the worst breakfast I have had in a hotel. Over cooked and dry hash brown (only one) the same for the half slice of black pudding, my wife's omelette was not properly mixed and all the filling was at one side and the scrambled egg was swimming in water, baked beans had the distinct skin of being kept warm. Staff were very helpful and polite.

We checked in ok but once we arrived in our room it went down hill. The carpet was dirty with stains and clearly hadn't been hoovered well. Mould on window frame and on sealant in bathroom. We found something disgusting on the sink and hair in the bed. We complained and were upgraded to a better room. It was much better but clearly still in need of basic maintaince. Breakfast was very small one helping with very little given especially for the cost of it.

Breakfast was a buffet breakfast with the usual cereals, toast and hot food was served by one of the staff out of heated serving dishes.

Just because I had a well priced personal deal through Expedia that shouldn’t have meant that I got awhat looked like the worst room up a flight of stairs that felt like the servants quarters, that had mould and mildew around the window and in the bathroom. Room desperately in need of refurbishment. Although I had read that the hotel had a lift, which was essential for my needs, there was no mention in the description that this room was stairs only access. I didn’t request lift access as assumed there was one. Reception greeting and check out was very minimal with no interaction other than was absolutely necessary so no feeling of being welcome or valued. Not somewhere I would stay again.

Most impressed by: The Staff, they were lovely. Breakfast was delicious. Entertainment, Colin Mills was outstanding. The bedroom was bright, airy, clean and nicely laundered. Not so good: Lift didn't go to top floor where we stayed so we had lots to carry, which was quite difficult for our party. Bathroom was not as clean as it could have been.

Very expensive for food and drinks and for the prices not the best quality.

Property very tired . Staff were friendly and very pleasant. Spa area not dirty but felt grubby .

ery nice hotel in a pleasant location. We stayed in the external building (where the pool / gym are located), room was a decent size and clean. My wife used the pool and stated is was very warm and nice to be in. The staff were very friendly in the bar and at breakfast. The breakfast was very nicely cooked and plenty to be had with a wide variety of options. If there was a small (and I mean small) compliant, it would be that the car park has quite a few potholes and could do with some of them filling in, but this is very minor in the whole experience. We will return to this hotel in the future as we stay in this area quite often as we have a daughter at Coventry University. Next time I will also take my gold clubs to try their 9 hole Par 3 course.

Internet ideal. Loved the room and the toiletries. Parking ideal, although pot holes could do with being filled in. Very good breakfast served to my room and on time.

We checked in for two nights and dispite having a few hiccups with the room and the restaurant bill the staff were lovely very friendly and polite and extremely efficient. Our problems were solved straight away with no issues. The pool was lovely and warm but did get a bit crowded at times with children but the morning was quite. It might be an idea to have times for members to swim separately to guest that way everyone gets a chance to swim.The food in the restaurant was exceptional and the breakfast was also good. The hotel it's self could do with an update but the beds were lovely and comfy. The roads into the carpark could do with levelling off loads of uneven road surfaces. We would definitely go back.

The hotel is tiered. rooms need modernising. its a great building, lovely par 3 course but the hotel is living off past glory and needs a lot of work to bring it up to par. The pool, changing rooms and 'spa' needs an overhaul. Far from a spa experience.

It’s a beautiful property, the parking was fine if a bit uneven, the room was clean, everyone was helpful and I will go again.

Easy and friendly check in and a lovely comfy clean room. Plenty of parking available and in a lovely area and only 15 minutes from the NEC. It’s a shame we didn’t have time to use the gym and pool but we’ll be back.

Good location, check in ok, no information given regs facilities, breakfast etc. room good size, clean, a little tired in terms of decor but comfortable. Saturday night is disco night so expect music until 12 midnight. Breakfast a bit chaotic, guests meandering about in the hall to be served, with the manager serving out food on a rationed basis. Good quality food though. For the money it was good and despite the above I would stay again.
