The bellman was awesome, but the hotel needs some major help. Our bathroom showed cracks everywhere, sink was blocked, and the shower SCREAMED for the first five minutes every time. The wallpaper is peeling, and ripped in some places, and the HVAC was completely inadequate. Our mini-fridge still has the spacers for the old style with over-priced snacks, so you have to get creative with putting anything it. The TV is really old, and you cannot link or cast to it. Wifi is slow and not dependable (unless you want to pay a daily fee for an upgrade). The hotel is one of the most expensive ones in the city, it would be great if the actual hotel reflected that. We mentioned some of this on check out, but no one seemed very concerned. Again - bellman was terrific! Just for comparison, I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Portage and it was night and day so much better.

Excellent property in a great location

Our room had two doubles and the sleep was by far the worst we’ve ever had. The mattresses were lumpy and caved in towards the centre. Please make sure to see the beds before you commit to staying. Not worth the price we paid and will most likely find another spot to stay next trip.

The property is in need of a face lift. The service and food were excellent, but the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Ours had cracks in the ceiling, cracks in the shower walls, the bathroom overall was tired and run down, the panel on the wall that allows access to the HVAC unit was off the wall and sitting on the floor when we checked in, the fridge didn’t work, etc. Nothing earth shattering, but the condition of the rooms reads more like a Comfort Inn than a Fairmont.

Staff was excellent. Construction around hotel was annoying as many sidewalks were closed and had to walk far away to cross street. Wifi was poor quality and not very fast. Could not download movies in advance of plane trip. Visited friends staying at Humphrey inn and their wifi was better quality

Property needs Maintenance - Ac doesn’t work. Plumbing and fixtures coming off. No water provided in Room - When asked they said - we need to ask for it..

Very friendly and warm check in by the Doorman Mar and the frontdesk Oleksandra. Good looking lobby and walking distance to the concert hall.

Fine old hotel in a downtown location. Beautiful room with a great bed and linens. We ordered breakfast from room service and it was great. Would recommend and would stay there again.

I chose the Fairmont for the brand reputation. The hotel was great. The experience was terrible. They put a drunk, fighting couple across the hall from me. The couple checked in late, after me. The hotel could have chosen any other room or floor in the hotel, away from guests. I had to call the front desk three times to send security. The couple was fighting and breaking furniture. The screaming was non-stop from midnight until 5 am. I had a conversation with the front desk in the morning. They told me they purposely didn't put the couple on a higher floor because of their condition. I couldn't understand what they were thinking by putting them across from me.

Staff are friendly and timely in response. Facility needs upgrades to flooring and wallcoverings.

Not consistent with Fairmont standards. Will not stay here until significant investment is made to upgrade this property. Wifi charges in 2025 are astronomical and offensive, this is the only property out of my last 20 trips that charges for high speed internet. Have also provided in depth feedback to Fairmont leadership team regarding this property.

Great location. Excellent staff. The beds were a dream!! Careful navigation at night time is needed in this area.

Very nice hotel for its age. Staff was awesome. Door guy knew what was up.

Hotel was just ok. For being the Fairmont and the price, you dont get a lot. Location was great, but construction made it difficulties to get around. Underground tunnel was great, but coming home from the NHL game, doors were locked and made it quite difficult to navigate out.

Television in room did not work, shower head was the cheapest I’ve seen, dry sauna took too long to heat up and didn’t get hot, no USB plugin in rooms (this is available in the cheapest economy hotels)

Always stay here. Love the Fairmont

Accommodating customers accordingly and had to pay for parking even after we couldn’t check into our room. Not very clear on how the payment works for checking in.
