It’s a good hotel with the best view. We love here.

I travelled here with my two children Breakfast was great Pool area great Food at their restaurants was pretty sub par/overpriced but deserts were good Hotel staff were knocking on door for water/house cleaning very early 8/9am - it was really annoying as we were sleeping - Also would knock on door when my kids were sleeping at 9:30pm asking for turndown service Staff are pleasant it just seems overpriced Rooms outdated View incredible though

Comfort of room, facilities, external areas, staff attentiveness; all first class

We had a great time at the Cliff Bay! We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay there. From a birthday celebration at Avista restaurant to our rooms' comfort and stunning views to delicious buffet breakfast every morning to spending time at the pool. No little detail was spared and the quality of service was superb. The staff made sure we had a great time and had everything we needed. We will definitely stay at this property again when we come back to Madeira. Thank you for your hospitality!

Pure luxury in a fantastic location for exploring Funchal. Couldn't fault the hotel, everything was exquisite. We booked a superior room which meant we had a few extra perks (like having a separate breakfast restaurant with table service to name one) and the seam view balcony was huge. Overall we fully recommend the Cliff Bay

This is an excellent hotel. We had an issue with our passports and they went above and beyond anything that could be expected to resolve it for us. You won't be disappointed staying here.

Great location, breakfast, views. Wish the gym opened before 7 am though.

Our week-long stay at The Cliff Bay Hotel in Funchal was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious and plentiful breakfast while overlooking the hotel’s lush gardens and stunning ocean views. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay, and our room was impeccably clean with a thoughtful turn-down service every evening. We also loved the entertainment offered on most nights, especially the fantastic jazz performances and the authentic regional dancers and singers, which added such a special local touch to the experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Funchal.

Alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit, bis auf zwei Ausnahmen: Matratzen sehr weich (alt?); Zimmer direkt über der Bar (teilweise etwas laut)

It was disappointing that we were unable to book for the main Rose Garden restaurant for some evening meals owing to demand

Hotellet hadde en suveren beliggenhet! Flott bassengområde med saltvannsbasseng rett i tilknytning til bryggen med muligheter for sjøbad. Dette var unikt i et ellers flott hotell med store, deilige rom med balkong med utsikt. God frokost der jeg spesielt satte pris på omelettkokken.

The room was lovely with great view of Funchal Harbour. Room service breakfast every morning sitting on balcony was extremely relaxing. This was our second stay and we'll be back. Special mention and applause to chef and staff at Blue Lagoon restaurant on site by the pool.
