Our week-long stay at The Cliff Bay Hotel in Funchal was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious and plentiful breakfast while overlooking the hotel’s lush gardens and stunning ocean views. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay, and our room was impeccably clean with a thoughtful turn-down service every evening. We also loved the entertainment offered on most nights, especially the fantastic jazz performances and the authentic regional dancers and singers, which added such a special local touch to the experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Funchal.

It was disappointing that we were unable to book for the main Rose Garden restaurant for some evening meals owing to demand

Hotellet hadde en suveren beliggenhet! Flott bassengområde med saltvannsbasseng rett i tilknytning til bryggen med muligheter for sjøbad. Dette var unikt i et ellers flott hotell med store, deilige rom med balkong med utsikt. God frokost der jeg spesielt satte pris på omelettkokken.

The room was lovely with great view of Funchal Harbour. Room service breakfast every morning sitting on balcony was extremely relaxing. This was our second stay and we'll be back. Special mention and applause to chef and staff at Blue Lagoon restaurant on site by the pool.

My stay was very relaxing and peaceful. Everyone is different, but I would have preferred a buffet in the evening instead of a restricted section from a menu list. Overall, it wasn’t bad at all

Wir sind 7 Tage im The Cliff Bay gewesen und haben uns sehr willkommen und wohl gefühlt. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist vor allem innen sehr schön und es wurde mit viel Liebe geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer hatte einen überdachten Balkon mit direktem Meerblick. Die Zimmer sind gross und werden sehr gut gemacht. Vor allem der bequeme Lobby-Bereich, der grosse Frühstücksraum mit seinem frischen, hervorragenden Buffet (speziell die Auswahl an Früchten) und der Wellness-Bereich mit Innen- und Aussenpool, Jacuzzi, Dampfbad und Sauna hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir können dieses tolle Hotel nur weiterempfehlen!
