Quick walk to convention center, great breakfast, needs some updating in halls but comfortable room and beds.

My brother and I came down for a concert at Wells Fargo Arena, and we knew the hotel would be close, but we underestimated just how close it was! It was awesome! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, gave us a great recommendation for food and drinks (Buzzard Billys, try EVERYTHING) and made sure we had everything to be comfortable. If I ever find myself in Des Moines needing a hotel that is friendly on the wallet and close to the action, I wont look anywhere else!

Very nice close to the Hyvee Hall as we were there for a wrestling tournament. Everything was so nice and staff was amazing.

Staff was so kind! the place was clean, we had to leave early both mornings and I was so glad the staff had the breakfast ready early and they let us eat. I thought everyone did great

All was amazing except I had to run the water very, very long time before it got warm. Never had hot water. Both morning and night.

Stayed here on the way home from visiting my girlfriend sister in Denver. Perfect place to stop. Very good service in and out easy and lots of stuff to do around there favorite Des Moines hotel.

We have stayed here several times for events at the arena and event center. It is super convenient to be able to walk the short distance to both of those locations. Hotel is clean, check in staff was very pleasant and rooms are clean and comfortable

This hotel is super convenient if you're attending an event at Wells Fargo Arena or going anywhere in downtown Des Moines. Another perk is the free parking. The hotel itself is rather rundown and likely in need of some renovations. That being said, our room was comfortable and check in and check out were very quick. Our room was mostly clean - just underneath the chairs seemed like hadn't seen a vacuum for a time. I was a little surprised that the Sunday breakfast didn't go later than 9:30, and the staff literally hauled everything away at 9:30 on the dot (I snagged a bagel as they were loading things up!), so just know that in advance if you're wanting breakfast. Overall, though, the location was what was most important for me and this hotel fit the bill.

Didn’t use the shower because the water took forever to drain.

We have stayed here a few times now and have never been disappointed.

Just a nice getaway, loved it
