For a business trip, it's a beautiful place, but I didn't have the time to look into it further.

Check in was efficient and Lynn on the front desk was excellent.

It was a lovely hotel and can only be described as very rustic sitting alongside the lake. Dining room meals were delicious, tempting notice for upcoming Easter brunch menu on display, easily accessible to major highways, only 20 minutes away from downtown Halifax, 10 minutes away from the airport. This has been my second stay at this hotel and I would book again. Lobby coffee is divine served with homemade muffins.

So easy to get to from the airport and warm, welcoming upon arrival. Rooms are always spotless with great bedding.

We came tgere during a snow storm. Nothing was shovelled. There was a 3 foot drift in front of our room. The patio doors was tge easiest way to get in. Our friends had to get a shovel which was sitting at tge ftont entrance and shovel our way to the room from our car. I realize there was a storm but not even to gave the front entrance shovelled. They are lucky no one fell.

No shuttle. No pets.

We stayed for our first time here and it was excellent, we will book again in the future.

Staff friendly made for easy check in. The room was clean and spacious. Lots of options in the area for dining/fast food. The only downside with staying in the winter and after a storm, that the parking lot was half plowed by the front door. Only the driveway was ploughed. The parking spaces still snow covered quite deep. Other than that, a great last minute booking to be closer to the airport before an early flight the next day.

Front desk staff consisted of one person. Not very friendly. Tried to have a conversation with her but she was pretty much non-responsive. The room was large and spacious which was probably the only thing that I can give it four stars for. The shower was extremely noisy. It's screeched at almost ear piercing sound levels. There must be air in the pipes. I had to stop the shower and get out it was so noisy. I tried changing the water but it didn't work. The floor in the room is carpeted and it was fairly dirty. I was in my sock feet and I walked on things the number of times. Maybe they're using an old vacuum and it's not doing a good job of sucking up the dirt. With it being winter I'm sure salt is being tracked through. The light on the heat pump glares in your face at night time. If I turned over that light was coming right into my face. The fridge, as nice as it is to have in the room, was also very noisy. It was rattling most of the night. I open the door a couple times to try to adjust it but it didn't stop. The inn on the lake is a bit of a historic property. It's been there for a long time. It's been renovated several times but it's starting to show its age again, it's very dated. The sink in the bathroom is stained yellow. I stayed on a Monday night and booked through Expedia at 170 per night plus tax and hotel fees. I don't feel that it lived up to its $200 value.

Our stay was good. Restaurant and Pub were not open which was disappointing.

Lovely old hotel but the restaurant was closed so no dinner or breakfast. Coffee and muffins were provided. No elevator nor personnel to help take luggage up or down the stairs.
