沒有清晰的泊車指引及接待處正門位置的地圖，只有在斜路的側門有前往接待處的指示牌，沒有駕車來的乘客要爬幾層樓梯才到達。很不方便。住宿、款待及餐飲十分滿意。

Only complaint-some areas are not accessible by lift

The Sterling Highland Inn is located in a beautiful historic building that used to be a school. Further, it is very well located close to restaurants and only a few minutes walk (uphill) from Sterling Castle. The hotel is desperately in need of a renovation. Carpets are heavily stained, especially in the restaurant, or sun, bleached, in the hallways, and there is peeling paint at the windowsills and peeling wallpaper. Our room was poorly serviced prior to where our arrival. On checking in,there was a half eaten candy bar on the floor and the toilet was visibly dirty. Further, there was very little toilet paper on the roll. Our biggest complaint, and partially my own fault, was that I made two reservations for two rooms under the nonrefundable option. Even though I called Expedia in advance, and Expedia called the hotel, the hotel chose to stick with their policy. I get that. Upon our arrival, they could’ve offered us hospitality by doing something like upgrading our rooms or offering a comp dinner, but instead, they chose to put us on a floor with no elevator service, so that we had to carry our bags up. The final straw came when I was asked for a late checkout of one hour for one room. They said it would be an additional 10 pounds. The manager even adamantly refused and said it was their policy and that their system didn’t allow it. I asked him to simply use his walkie-talkie to ask housekeeping to not knock and he adamantly refused.

Hotel was very nice on the outside, Obviously high historical values the rooms were a bit less interesting, and could have been better up-kept.

Ihana historiallinen paikka ja ihan täydellinen historiallisten hotellien ystävälle! Täydellinen sijainti kaupungin sydämessä lähellä kaikkea ja viehättävä puisto ihan vieressä. Siistit huoneet, täysipitkä kylpyamme, ystävällinen henkilökunta ja runsas aamiainen. Mitä muuta Skotlantia rakastava matkailija voisi kaivata!

I have no idea how this hotel was. The staff were not helpful. We had to switch travel dates and I asked to rebook our room. They would not reschedule. It was only one night we were booked. If you were looking for wonderful, supportive staff look elsewhere.

We loved the location and perfectly suited our travel plans!

Very disappointed had to pay to park in hotel carpark and was expected to pay to use swimming pool. Feel hotel guests should not have to when already paid to stay . Room and hotel very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Feel menu could have been better and you should not be charged for more if have allergies. Central for castle and town

Wonderful location. Made everything so easy. Our only complaint is that parking was additional cost. This didn't seem to be the case everywhere, and there was plenty of parking to be had. Honestly, I'd rather have the parking cost built into the cost of the room than feeling like I'm being nickel and dimed by having to pay extra for parking. But everything else was fantastic.

Great location, need modernised, staff very helpful

We stayed in classic double ground floor. Room was clean although showed signs of age in particular the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, but squeaky, pillows hard. Window frames were rotting on the outside. Only one bottle of complimentary water.Booked via Expedia so required to pay additionally for parking and use of spa. Dining area carpet showed significant signs of wear and tear,… looked shabby and dirty in places. Breakfast self serve was fine. Re Spa, it was a bit gloomy in the pool area but the pool was a good size. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Location convenient for Stirling Castle. Overall it was fine for a one night stay, and the history of this former school gave it some charm, but it could do with a refresh!!

Beware if booking this property on a third party site like hotels.com as they then charge you £10 to park and another £10 to use the amenities.

Staff was wonderful. Hotel was old but clean. We were traveling as a family of four with two teens, booked two rooms. Unfortunately we did not get connecting rooms which was fine for us but might be an issue for others. The main issue OA as is typical Scotland, there was no air conditioning and it was incredibly warm. No fans in the room and windows only open a tiny bit. Great location, nice staff but plan accordingly of heat bothers you.
