Great hotel, 5 mins walk to the Palace

We stayed jn McGallery le Louis Hotel for 3 nights as we wanted to visit Versailles at our own pace. The hotel is beautiful and has some wow factors, the style and decorations however are too corporate and does not feel cosy. The service is touch and go, some good and some bad but definitely not matching the high quality service i was expecting. Breakfast was ok and again it did not match my expectations, if you have breakfast in the last hour prepare to find not much left. The hot food was not great either, bacon was hard as a rock, sausages were bad quality and scrumbld eggs was more an omelette. Cleaning again was basic, the room we stayed had marks on the wall, the mattress cover and the bed sheet was too small so it was moving around when sleeping. Very annoying! The cleaner kept entering the room without even knocking on the door. Slightly arrogant and definitely unprofessional ! Location is great but we have several other hotels nearby that are definitely cheaper and looked cosier. I have left with mixed feelings about this place but i wouldnt stay here if backnin Versailles as i did not feel looked after or pampered. Also dont forget they will charge you a deposit at check in, in our case 1000 euros for 3 nights, the rooms price was much lower though.

What a great location! Beautiful, clean, great breakfast! So convenient to the castle as well as adorable places to explore! Would come again!

The hotel is cheating on you, unfriendly and ignorant staff. Among the worst place I came across.

Visit to Versailles Palace with friends. Excellent location although the room was smaller than expected. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again at the right price.

Great stay for my family. Walking distance to the Palace of Versailles. Rooms were bright and clean!

Ideal location for Chateau and some excellent restaurants nearby. Facilities are very good but staff let the property down. For example, our bed wasn’t properly made any night (bottom sheet seemed just tossed onto bed with duvet to cover it). Tissue boxes empty, dirty dishes left in room, etc. things that are so easy to get right yet made the stay less comfortable. It was almost impossible to get anyone to answer the room service number, reception’s attitude was inconsistent. Sometimes good other times really rude. Wanted to love the hotel- with better staff it would be great

Everything was great the only complaint we had was that the tub was very slippery and a lot of water spilled out when taking a shower. Definitely more built for baths than showers. The location is great, the service is great, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was delicious.

Location is perfect.

No tissues in room. The lift could not be called on the third floor (fixed on our last morning) And Buffet breakfast at €28 seems over-priced. BUT Everywhere was walkable especially the palace - ccouldn't be closer.

Great location for both Versailles itself and 40 minute train journey to Paris Clean, comfortable & well-appointed room. Nice quality restaurant. Good breakfast choices but a little pricey at €28 per person. Helpful, friendly staff throughout the business.
