Great environment. Quiet and great scenery

I had a lovely clean room with a fridge didn’t have breakfast, the parking was £7 a night. The swimming pool was open from 6am to 11pm so I had a swim most nights from 9pm for an hour, went to Harrogate on train and bus into York outside hotel and Whitby by car had a lovely stay.

No sleep due to other guests shouting and singing at all hours

The views from the bar and restaurant were amazing. The only downside was the layout of the room,we were told it was deluxe suite but it was small,television was not facing us, it was on the side and the plughole in the sink was not very good and water did not go down very quickly. Overall the hotel was fab,especially staff were really nice especially in the restaurant.

Sofa bed wasn’t made up and because of this we could see the mattress which was covered in stains. Communication between staff and their understanding questionable. Breakfast was lovely and well organised

Not what you would expect from the price, unfriendly staff at reception, unclean and very worn bathroom, extra 21 pounds to park for 3 nights. I emailed a complaint and the only thing addressed was the unfriendly staff! Would stay somewhere more central for the same price and much better standard

Complete shambles checking in. Their system was incorrectly showing my booking for the wrong date. I had email confirmations of the correct date. However, their solution was for me to make another booking through the internet!!

Lovely view from balcony of racecourse, nice king size bed, bath and shower great and hotel staff very helpful and caring. Breakfast good start to our busy days.

Staff were 1st class, romm was perfect, food was fantastic, brilliant stay

Perfect place for what we needed

Room starting to look dated and tired. Some lights didn’t work, no restocking of coffee and milk each day. The view from the window of the racecourse was obscured by the condensation within the double glazing. The staff were very good and the location was great.

The property is in good condition, Staffs are helpful

Lovely hotel, not happy with Hotels.com after cancelling one night, upping the price for the remaining nights and removing breakfast and failing to respond to request for help on their 'chat'. Also left behind an important item, paid for parcel, grateful of honesty of cleaning staff, then took front desk two days to post.. still not got it!

It was a pretty good stay overall and the spa area was pretty good. The only issue we had was the size of the lift. When we were putting the luggage trolley in the lift, only one person could squeeze ( and I do mean literally squeeze themselves) inside the lift to go with the luggage, it was far to small. The room and rest of the stay was lovely.

Poor customer service from the outset. A (quite abrasive) checkin staff member) did not give us the best of welcomes while being told that our room was not ready (after 3pm). Poor state of repair of fittings in the room, and overall a really disappointing experience. An experience I shall not be repeating as I look for alternative accommodation next time around.
