Hotel is in a great location. The area is safe, many things are within walking distance. Hotel itself is beautiful. Breakfast adequate. My room 909 had a beautiful view and was clean. Shortcomings were the stained towels, and the need for quality pillows for a good night’s rest. Overall, it was a good stay.

We were suppose to be checked in at 3 one guest didn’t check in until close to 6. I was checked in at 4. My room sheets were not clean , when I told housekeeping they insisted the room is clean and the sheets are clean. However there were stains on the sheet. I found someone’s underwear in the couch in my room. There were stains along the furniture. The breakfast while appreciated wasn’t anything to rave about. The air condition was good but they didn’t want give multiple keys to keep the ac going throughout the day

Very nice stay as always at a Dann Carlton property. Comfortable bed. Linens could use updated. Water pressure excellent and plenty of hot water. Restaurants are good 43 Street is excellent. Breakfast buffet was perfect for me. Lots of good fruit. Pool is nice and big and clean with a lot of loungers and tables with umbrellas. Location is perfect. Lots within walking distance. I highly recommend.

El personal, las habitaciones y la limpieza de primera los restaurantes y desayuno espectacular… es mi hotel favorito en Medellín ya he ido más de 9 veces y siempre a elijo el mismo … me quedé una vez en otro y fue un total decepción … por eso no cambio el Dann CARLTON MEDELLÍN

Hotel was good. But the guy working the front in the morning was rude and made me feel unwelcome. I had my girlfriend come visit me and he was treating her like a woman of the night. He almost had her in tears. I would not recommend because of him

Great beds, nice bathrooms, plenty of hot water, quiet, friendly staff, clean room, good internet, great air conditioning. Breakfast was OK, but nothing to write home about. The breakfast staff was slow and focused on other people, and much of the food was low or empty. The food was essentially the same each day and just OK. There was plenty of seating and the outside was nice, but not as green and beautiful as other hotel breakfast areas. Other hotels in the area have better breakfasts. I almost wish we had just driven over to the Marriott and paid for their breakfast. They have better varieties.

Staff is very cordial and the location is great, but the building was a great hotel that looks in disrepair, damage drapery broken bathroom faucet furniture that has seen better days etc.

Rooms were spacious, and comfortable with a sitting and dining area. View over the city are best, otherwise might be facing a building, higher floors better, noted some maintenance items needing attention (window did not seal properly, hand basin sink stopper did not work). Take care booking non-refundable pricing, if you leave early, the hotel will not refund you (I was not happy about that)

The hotel room I had was very small compared to the photo. The HVAC fan in my room was loud, there was no fan in the bathroom to ventilate the humidity because of the shower. The towels were old, hard, and the shower mat small and terrible. Every time my girlfriend walked into the bathroom, she said there was a urine smell which was more than likely from a previous person who used the room and may have missed the bowl. I had a difficult time sleeping at night. The rooms are supposed to be soundproof but besides the HVAC fan, I could hear when anyone beside, below or above my room flushed a toilet. I could also hear people in the hallway talking, doors closing, etc. The window in the room was drafty and I could hear the traffic passing on the roadway at night. The gym equipment is old. The weight machine cables have been stretched and should be replaced. When I was swimming in the pool, I noticed black mold in the tile grout so I would question the proper use of chemicals being used to treat the water. I would also question if the tile grout was sealed properly or if the grout is resealed annually. The food was good although on a Sunday afternoon, my girlfriend and I had a late lunch with coffee. It seemed as if the coffee was left in the pot for a long time and tasted terrible which is like a cardinal sin to serve bad coffee in Colombia. Overall, I was very disappointed for the amount of money I paid for staying at a property that is supposed to be a five star hotel.
