The location was awesome and the breakfast was wonderful.

This hotel provides the basics, but it’s definitely showing its age. The building and facilities feel tired and in need of proper maintenance. Check‑in was efficient, though the staff were quite detached, which didn’t create much of a welcome. Our room was clean and neat, but unfortunately it looked nothing like the photos shown on the hotel’s website. The difference was disappointing and felt misleading. It’s an affordable option, and you do get what you pay for, but more accurate presentation and some investment in the property would make a difference.

First look it’s clean , but our room on the bed base was stained on the side . All garden furniture needed wiping down , garden maintenance needed more work . On the whole ok but definitely needs some TLC . Some furniture in restaurant very shabby also ashtray outside was overflowing and wasn’t emptied the whole time we were there .

Nice property at a nice location.

The staff were friendly. Our room was smelly and there was hair on the carpet. We were moved to a different room immediately, which we appreciated. This was a lovely room. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. On arrival ( at 3pm), the corridor leading to our room was scattered with empty bottles, glasses and plates. There were dirty plates outside our room, too. Not a great first impression. We stayed for two night and our room was not cleaned during our stay. We were told that they were busy due to a wedding. I was not impressed as this is part of staying in a hotel. I appreciate that the hotel was busy but there was lots of queuing. We waited quite a while to check in and there was a long queue on both days to get into the restaurant for breakfast. It felt like the hotel was understaffed as even going to the restaurant for dinner took about 10 minutes of waiting to be seated. The staff were friendly and worked very hard.

The accomodation was great. Staff are polite and helpfull. The food was perfect and generous. Jaccuzzi not working at the time of our visit, but for future use it will add more attraction. The location is the gateway to Hayling Island adventure with numerous amount of parking space and leissure areas. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.....WILL COME BACK AGAIN.

Its always lovely to stay at the Langstone, but I think its starting to feel a little tired. The rooms, whilst clean are a little rough at the edges, they show wear and tear, this is the second time I have stayed that my TV didn't work properly, plug was a poor fit for the bath. Though have to say the beds are always very comfortable The location is perfect and the reception staff are always excellent, but I do find the bar and restaurant staff a little lacking in enthusiasm. The menu is expensive for very average quality food, and I seldom eat there, the bar is ok, but lackluster service. Spa is a bonus, and I have always found the staff there really helpful. Overall, its a pleasant stay, but could be an amazing stay with a little more care and attention

Breakfast, athough states is continental it is also a buffet cooked breakfast. Beautiful views from the restaurant and a pleasure to sit outside with a morning coffee.

Very disappointing stay at Langstone Quay Hotel. The room was poorly maintained and several basic amenities were missing despite booking for three guests. Only two mugs and two hot chocolates were provided, and only five pillows instead of six. Reception promised to send another pillow but nothing ever arrived. The windows in the room were locked shut, making the room extremely uncomfortable. We contacted reception multiple times and were repeatedly told someone would deal with it, but no action was ever taken. I even had to go downstairs personally to chase the issue and still nothing was resolved. The lack of urgency and customer care was shocking. To make matters worse, the bathroom light was faulty, the hand wash dispenser was broken, and the bathroom door handle was loose and nearly falling off. The room clearly had not been properly checked or maintained before guests arrived. The situation became so stressful that my mother, who suffers from anxiety, experienced a panic attack during the stay due to the lack of ventilation and the hotel staff completely ignoring our concerns. Overall, this was an unacceptable experience and far below the standards expected from a hotel advertised through Expedia. Poor maintenance, poor customer service, and no accountability from staff. I would not recommend staying here.

Staff very helpful and friendly. The food has vastly improved and breakfast was great. The building itself looks a wee bit tired but overall for the price it was very good value.

Good breakfast, room was spotless

I paid extra to book a Harbour View room but the room overlooked the ground floor dining area with air conditioning on its roof. The carpets and upholstery are worn out in places. We came back at the end of the day to find that the room had not been cleaned and then were told that we should should hang a sign to have the room serviced, which wasn’t told at check-in.

I would describe the stay as travelodge level rooms- fairly basic. Probably a 2-3 star stat. Standard of cleanliness isn’t great- the room had a faint smell of damp or urines. The mugs in the room were also dirty The facilities were surprisingly impressive- a good sized pool and proper gym. We stayed here and spent the first day in Portsmouth and the second day in Chichester. It’s a good and accessible location.
