Sligo was such a quiet and charming place. We enjoyed our time there. We stayed in Riverside Hotel for 1 night, the very spacious room, nice staff and delicious food gave us very good impression. The room was just face the river, which had amazing view. After checking out for days, we met some unhappy misunderstanding with the hotel, but finally the hotel management dealt with it effectively.

Enjoyed view of river and swans. Nice bar area with room for our group of 6 to play cards and enjoy some drinks. Staff gave good recommendations for pubs with live music.

The front desk staff was very helpful with any questions asked.

There was no parking for the clients due to a birthday party. With the luggage with us was a bit upset to have to park not at the hotel.

Really excellent hotel! Friendly and helpful staff! Great food in the restaurant, both breakfast and dinner options. Clean rooms as well. Downside is the parking situation but we could park just down the street and walk a couple minutes to the hotel

Check-in was easy and the young man at the desk (i did not catch his name) was super welcoming and when asked he gave us an excellent recommendation for the following day. Other staff were great at breakfast as well. The room was clean, well stocked with towels. Not a problem for us but the room had no safe which could be an issue for some. My only problem was that there was no air in the room and it was very stuffy. A notice on the desk warned about not opening the windows at night to avoid insects coming it. There was a fan in the closet so I used that so I could sleep.

We loved our room overlooking the river to watch the swans. It was only a short walk to the many pubs and restaurants. Reception staff were fantastic.
