This property is my retreat when trying to disconnect and recharge! Let me say that this place isn’t for everyone! It’s a place for resting, so curfew is 11:00PM to allow every guest to rest. I love this! The property itself is a historic landmark, well preserved with modern upgrades done tastefully and practically. Air conditioned rooms, pool, jacuzzi, spa, gym, restaurant, bar, horseback riding, gaming tables etc. the rooms are exquisitely decorated with the charm of the era, and a couple of tasting bottles of the house made rum awaits on arrival along with snacks. The property also offers free tours of their rum distillery to guests along with rum tasting. The restaurant is fantastic! The menu changes daily so it allows you to taste several dishes during an extended stay. Their T-bone steak, jicama ceviche, guac and carrot cream soup were incredible! Hospitality here is above and beyond! Every member of the staff from the reception to the restaurant, spa and stables is serviceable and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure every guests has a great experience. The pool is nice and warm to spend the day relaxing. The spa is addictive with treatments that leave you wanting for more. Mary was my therapist twice an did a fantastic job! My favorite was the hot stone massage, but heard from friends the facials were the best they’ve had. We love animals so having horses available daily for riding and visiting with the farm animals was so much fun. So much soul!

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The whole place was clean and worked well for our weekend stay. I highly recommend it.

This was my 4th stay at Hacienda el Carmen. As usual, it was perfect. Delicious food great spa treatments and friendly staff!

No nos dejaron entrar ni unos chocolates a la habitación porque tenían “restricción de alimentos”, la alberca que dicen que es climatizada está heladizima y el cuarto que dicen que es aprueba de ruido se escucha todo desde las 6am, para nada lo recomiendo

Instalaciones y la atención del personal excelente

The entire Hacienda was magnificent. I’ve stayed in some pretty nice places, but this place was next level. It’s amazingly preserved, holds the charm and character of history everywhere you look. The staff are so nice and I can’t speak Spanish but we had lots of fun using the iPhone translators. The horses and animals are well kept and healthy, the owner Monica whom I got to meet and spend time with, made me feel part of their Mexican family :)

Personnel'et acceuil géniaux. Très belle chambre et piscine très bien refaite. La plus belle hacienda autour de Guadalajara.

La habitación super limpia, con el detalle de arreglarte la cama para dormir. El despertar con el canto de los gallos y abrir la ventana y ver al becerro Juanito hizo nuestros amaneceres hermosos. La atención de las meseras en el restaurante excelente.

Habitaciones comodas, alberca y jacuzzi climatizados, hermosas las areas verdes, la destilería, la comida deliciosa, el personal súper amable y atentos, la hacienda es una belleza así como la capilla, los salones, la biblioteca, todo!!! Vale casa centavo la entancia en ese lugar, la propietaría es una excelente anfitriona, estamos encantados!! Sin duda volveremos muchas veces.

Mal servicio

El lugar es muy bonito pero más bien rústico en lugar de lujoso. Hay zonas ruidosas a pesar de que es un lugar de descanso. Aún así me volvería a hospedar ahí eligiendo mejor la habitación.
