The rooms were inviting, clean and comfortable. The lady who checked us in was amazing! Breakfast was so good! Highly recommend!

Our room smelled bad. The hotel was empty and they gave us room number 209, view of all the ac units outside of our window when the hotel was mostly empty for a Thursday night on May 29, 2025. Loved the roof at the check in floor as it was raining. Would love to have cut up fresh fruit and bacon on the breakfast buffet.

They have recently undergone a big remodel. Everything about the hotel looks fresh and new. Rooms and beds are very comfortable. The front desk lady was very friendly also.

The hotel had been recently updated. Clean rooms. Breakfast could have been better. I asked for clean towels and got was asked to deliver my used towels to dirty towel cart. Seemed a little rude and no interest in delivering the towels although the housekeeper was in the hallway.

Bed was extremely uncomfortable and the highway noise was overpowering. I sleep with a sound machine and could still hear the cars/trucks going by. Also disappointing that the hot tub was out of service. That’s one reason I booked here and I couldn’t even use it.

A little out of the way.... signage needs to be more visiable. We kept getting lost and would pass the place.

I liked the amazing spread they put out for the free breakfast. Staff was also very nice.

Very Clean and Nice breakfast

Big TV in room, soft sheets, awesome pool, love this place.

Property was outdated. Paint and wall peeling in several areas. The key cards has trouble working on several doors. Key card for door to fitness room did not work.

Decent hotel fairly close to Cherokee. The reason we booked this hotel is for the indoor pool and hot tub and the hot tub was broken this time or down. At breakfast, the pancake maker was broken as well. Other than that, it was exactly what you would expect from a Holiday Inn.

Everything good. No liked the jacuzzi no was working.

The room was very nice and clean. The staff were Awesome, friendly and very professional. I will definitely be Back.

Great Stay in the Mountains! We really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Sylva, NC. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location is perfect—peaceful but still close to restaurants, Western Carolina University, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and check-in was smooth and easy. Our room was spacious and quiet, with all the essentials we needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection—but we were a little disappointed not to see the famous cinnamon buns or pancakes! That said, there were still plenty of options to start the day off right. Overall, a great choice for a visit to the Sylva area. We’d absolutely stay here again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
