Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay

Staff excellent very small room and lighting poor couldn't see what I was doing and had to use the torch on my phone to make a cup of tea. Enjoyed my stay at Bovey Castle.

Highly recommend the lodges, large rooms which are of high quality.

On arriving at our room for our ruby wedding anniversary we thought there might be an upgrade but no. Also there was a very noisy family with a crying baby that did wake us on 2 occasions during the first night. We did ask to be moved but were told that we would need to pay an extra £100 per night as they had no more classic rooms. On checking the website there was more classic rooms available and also castle rooms at an extra £40 per night. This was not offered. Our first nights meal was £134 approximately and we shared a starter and then had a lamb stew with boiled potatoes and beef short ribs with undercooked fondant potatoes and a small spoonful of cauliflower cheese. Plus a bottle of wine. We know it’s just a brasserie but overpriced with 12.5% service charge. We have been to Bovey many times and feel it is no longer a 5* hotel and has gone downhill.

Food was lovely. Breakfast varied with hot options cooked to order. Dinners at both restaurants very nice but overpriced for what they are. Service very good across the hotel. Cleanliness very good in all parts of hotel. Spa treatments were amazing using TempleSpa products. Lovely grounds. Swimming pool cold and whirlpool area not heated.

Lovely large room, great views. Just a totally relaxing place to stay

The staff are so friendly and go out of the way to accommodate you. There are great facilities for families. We had a really lovely stay and will definitely be coming back.

Could do with tv’s in bedrooms in the lodges and a mirror in the toilet area by kitchen

Room was beautiful very clean,staff couldn’t do enough and our dog was also welcomed by all the staff which is amazing especially in a 5 star hotel.The grounds and mansion are stunning .We can not recommend enough and for sure will be back in future

Trevligt på alla sätt men några detaljer ledningen behöver se över. Finns ingenstans överhuvudtaget att lägga sina kläder. Inte en enda låda. Anmärkningsvärt! Sängarna var så nerledande och ålderstigna att man låg som i en hängmatta. En dubbelsäng där man höjde sig 1 dm när man lade sig i mitten. Det är dålig kvalité på ett hotell med så hög standard i övrigt

Staff were amazing, the place itself is beautiful. Only feedback would be the spa could do with a touch up. Re paint, tiles missing in the pool, sauna as broken seat.

Absolutely fabulous place the food was delicious couldn't recommend it more highly
