This hotel was ok and did the job while we stayed in Sorrento however it was not quite up to our expectations. Whilst the room and balcony were a good size the room required some maintenance and i would say it was average on the clean scale. The view from the room however was beautiful. we were on the 4th floor and there was live music on in the roof top bar one evening that kept us awake, and it seemed that every evening around 10 or 11pm doors were being slammed either by staff or guests but this was not ideal. If this was staff then more consideration needs to be taken when closing down the bar.
The breakfast was average although the staff were helpful and did provide espresso when asked, otherwise there is just filter coffee which is a dated offering in our opinion. Reception was ok, although there was a shuttle bus which did prove very useful in the day. this was less than useful in the evening and we had to get the local bus multiple times due to the lack of service down to the town. It is worth noting that you can actually walk to Sorrento town along the road which we did do a few times, just be cautious of traffic.
The food at the hotel is very expensive and limited.
For what we paid we were underwhelmed but this did not taint our trip, Sorrento is beautiful and so is the Amalfi coast. We highly recommend exploring the Amalfi and Positano by boat and try to get a smaller boat tour of up to 12 people, this was perfect and not too expensive.
