It was not very hot outside but still a big too hot, there is air conditioning in the room - but it doesn’t cool down at all! Also hotel looks a bit tired. I loved design very much, but it becomes not so pleasant.

Very nice stay. Beds were good. Great location near China Town. The climate control worked perfectly in the odd warm weather conditions. The only flaw was the cleaning, overall the cleaning was good but underneath the bed an old lid from take away box was found.

Great location, good quality rooms and amenities friendly staff and decent breakfast. All good.

Really great stay for business this time. Staff are lovely, really helpful and friendly. The hotel is quite modern inside an old building but clean and tidy, it could do with a small refresh in the halls but that's a minor point. Breakfast is great, really nice area to eat in and plenty of space to move around the tables. Overrall, I'm looking forward to my.next stay.

This was very satisfactory first visit to the Alan. Everything was good - our room, the design of the common areas, the location, the breakfast and the staff! We definitely will book this hotel when next time in Manchester.

Came to enjoy the last week of my 40's and mentioned on booking this was the reason for staying. Was absolutely blown away by the unexpected birthday balloon, prosecco and card put in the room by the hotel...I wept tears of joy...such an act of kindness made me feel so very special 🥰 The room was AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL!! Congratulations to all at The Alan....I won't be staying anywhere else in Manchester...you have my heart ♥️

Room was exactly like the photos. Was great! Only negatives were the curtains were hard to draw.

Nice hotel with minimalist decor smack dab in the centre of town. 1 minute to St. Peter’s Square and the Town Hall, 1 minute to China Town. Friendly and accommodating staff. Comfy bedroom with work area, fridge and tea/coffee station. Good deal for price. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in town.

Værelset vi havde kunne godt have taget en renovering. Badeværelset var også noget slidt og bruseren virkede ikke særlig godt. Super personale og rigtig god mad. Placeringen var meget central og nemt at komme til med tog eller Uber.
