Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. Room on first floor and balcony overlooking the industrial corridor between our hotel and the one next door. A worker was power washing plastic crates for two hours (9 pm to 11 pm); bathroom didn’t have conditioner or cream; we asked to be put on another room but the front desk refused, even after telling us that they were only at 60% capacity; the next morning there was no electric power ! We were told to pack our things and they would change our room but when we returned in the late afternoon we were stil on the same room. We left that day (awful way to spend our 20th anniversary!)

The staff was super. Food was good and the entertainment was really nice.

The buffet could provide more variety. I do not like the fact that an app has to be installed in ordered to make reservations at other restaurants as it requires IOS 18.something.The rooms are showing age. Employees 10/10. Truly will go above and beyond. A big thanks to Antonio @ towel area!

We really loved the cleanliness of the property, the professionalism of all the staff. The entertainment group, Marco, Israel, Grecia. Julio, Reuben, Eduardo were all amazing, they kept us active and were very professional and made us feel like we were at home. The bartenders at the pool bar were all amazing, Victor was always smiling and very friendly whoever anyone came to the pool bar. The drinks were all fantastic, the food was wonderful throughout the whole resort. We can not wait to come back soon. Thank you for making my birthday week a memorable one.

The hotel has the best staff in the world

This is the most beautiful experience I had in my vacation in Mexico with GR Solaris hotel. I recommend this hotel to others

The hotel was very beautiful. I’m very nice very clean and it smells so good and the staff they were great very helpful. Very nice people very polite. They do everything for you work so hard. I did not like the food too much. It wasn’t that great and I did not like the spa and the manicure and pedicure. It’s not professional job overall it was pretty good

This was our first time staying here and we had a great experience! The staff was so helpful and friendly. Our view from our room was incredible. They have various options for food so it is easy to find something you will like. Loved that they had more formal dining options available. Overall, it was a great experience.

The stay was amazing, I will be returning soon.

I was very disappointed with my stay at GR Solaris. The buffet food was basic and repetitive, and making reservations at the specialty restaurants was extremely difficult, which became frustrating. However, the most upsetting part of our trip happened during checkout and unfortunately overshadowed the entire experience. I had booked two rooms. Two of our friends were checking out earlier than my husband and I, and they had multiple carry-on bags. We walked with them to the reception to help with their luggage. While there, a staff member insisted on removing our wristbands as well, even though we clearly explained we were not checking out—only assisting our friends. The staff did not seem to understand or accept this explanation. After leaving the hotel to walk toward a nearby bus stop, another employee ran after us, calling out that we needed to return to have our wristbands removed. We again explained the situation and kept walking. Then, surprisingly, a different man approached us about 100 meters from the hotel and said he had been sent by the hotel. At that moment, I felt extremely uncomfortable and watched, and the experience left me very unsettled. This level of response felt disproportionate and left a lasting negative impression. Unfortunately, because of this, I won’t be returning to Cancun and cannot recommend GR Solaris based on my experience.

Customer service was terrible

Entertainment crew was second to none! Rooms were dated but clean. Pools were clean but in need of maintenance, like the rest of the resort. The comon area restrooms constantly smelled bad and were always dirty, the bathroom at the pool was so bad you could not stand to be in it. The resort is in need of a lot of maintenance, broken tiles, wall damage, stained paint the list goes on. They say it was updated in the last 5 years but i don't see it. Grounds are just okay, nothing special. The food in the buffet was decent at breakfast but not so much at lunch and dinner. The pizza at the grill was a winner. The 2 specialty restaurants were decent but half empty and not able to get a table or reservation, not sure why. The shoe policy in the restaurant was selective, inforced with some not with others. Flambe coffee is a must! The staff were great. We are pretty seasoned travelers to resorts and are not hard to please, that being said you get pretty much what you pay for usually, and this is true for this resort. I will give it a 5 out of 10

Very clean, staff are friendly & helpful, food is decent. It’s a smaller resort but very nice! Love the pools & pool bar!

Our room was on the second floor and I can tell you exactly of all the delivery times because we were awakened at 3 am every morning. Not only by trucks backing up but also they power washed some crates and that kept us up for the rest of the time. VIP? I don’t think so
