Try to make reservations for the restaurant when first day I came. And find all the restaurants in hotel are not available except the buffet. and for the rest 4 days of my stay, i can only ate buffet, which is so bad. They also make a mistake on the room.i came with my friend, we booked a 2 beds room, but there is only 1 king size bed room left. Was Told that was the last room they have. So we have to sleep on one bed.

We recently stayed at GR Solaris Cancun as a VIP Expedia traveler through the Expedia app, and unfortunately, the experience fell significantly short of expectations for an all-inclusive resort at this price point. While the beach itself is beautiful and well-maintained, the overall resort did not live up to the descriptions provided. Beach service, such as drink or food delivery, was not available, which is a standard amenity at comparable properties. The food quality was consistently disappointing—meals were often flavorless, poorly prepared, and lacked variety or appeal. As an all-inclusive experience, this was a major letdown. Service from staff was inconsistent and, at times, unprofessional. The concierge was unresponsive despite multiple attempts to reach her over several days, including via the recommended app messaging. When contact was finally made, it was only for a checkout reminder call at 11:30 a.m. on departure day, threatening penalties for not vacating by noon. Promises made during the stay were not followed through, and information that should have been provided was omitted. As a VIP Expedia member, I noticed that other guests appeared to receive more visible recognition (such as banners or attentive service), while our perks felt minimal—a small $3 bottle of champagne—and no meaningful enhancements. The housekeeping staff were the highlight, consistently providing clean and well-maintained rooms. Overall, this resort does not meet the standards!

This was our second time staying at GR Solaris, and once again, it did not disappoint! My wife and I came back with a group of friends, and we all had an amazing experience. The staff truly makes this place special — everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is unforgettable. You really feel taken care of from the moment you arrive. The food and drinks were excellent, with plenty of options for everyone. The accommodations are very comfortable and cozy, making it easy to relax and feel at home. The amenities are outstanding, and there’s always something to enjoy. We especially loved the live shows, karaoke at the bar, and the pool activities — they’re fun, engaging, and create such a great atmosphere. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and the best part is that it’s just a few steps away from the resort. Waking up and being so close to the ocean is truly special. We genuinely love this resort and will definitely be coming back soon. It already feels like our second home!

The ocean view from our room was beautiful, but within our room, the bathroom door would not close, the bathroom sink leaked, and the room door had to be closed with some force in order to latch it. (Room-3 star) The staff was attentive and very friendly! From the bartenders to the maid service, the staff was accommodating and helpful. (Staff-5 star) The buffet food was mediocre, and when we ate at Don Gus, the portions were small and the steak was chewy and inedible. (Food-2 star) The entertainment at the pool was good throughout the day, but it was lacking in the evening. (Entertainment-3 star) Suggestions— The swim up bar and music should be at the adults only pool area.

Had issues with the room. The bathroom handle broke, water dripped from the ceiling vent on the floor, and service to repair issues were slow. Also, the breakfast and lunch were good. Dinner in the specialty restaurants the menu was limited and service was poor.

Overall the stay was great. The room was not super excellent per say but no complaints. The staff was nice and the beach was clean. Kids enjoyed the pool and snack places around it. Daily shows and pool side activities make the stay wonder. One of the restaurants that we wanted to try was closed all week :( Buffet was great as well with lot of food variety.

The hotel itself was good, but the experience was frustrating due to constant miscommunication. At check-in, we were told we could request a late checkout the same day, only to find out later that it wasn’t possible. We kept being told different things by different staff members. We were asked to come back at 9 to speak with a manager, then 9:30, then 10:30, and eventually told no manager was available. After all that running around, we called customer service and they were able to help. Later, we were told the supervisor Leonardo was there and suddenly the checkout time changed to 3 PM, even though we had previously been told that after paying we could stay until 5 PM. We also experienced similar issues with room service — told one thing one day, and the next day it was completely different. Aside from all the confusion and lack of clear communication, the hotel itself was good, but the overall experience was stressful because of these issues.

Staff great, room clean, great food buffet and from the restaurants. Great getaway for my and I we had the lagoon view then after a day switched to the ocean view both rooms were great.
