Anantara Chiangmai has one of the best suite room designs I have ever stayed. I was lucky to have enjoyed the newly renovated big and cozy suites, the staff were all friendly and very attentive to the guest. 5 stars! However, there are few minor feedbacks, if I may. I was not allowed to bring/open my own champagnes at the restaurant during my dinner with friends; Its chargeable 500bath per bottle. As a guest of Anantara Kasara suites, I find this was a little bit unacceptable. In the end we decided not to, but instead we chose one of the bottles from their wine menus. The restaurant itself, is another problem. The staff were poorly educated on the menu selections, and handed over many many menu booklets to our table. We got confused which is the one we should be looking at. In the end we had our Lanna dinner, but again, it was poorly communicated from the kitchen and to the staff at the restaurant. The staff has to run back to the kitchen just to confirm if the menu is available for each time we have selected and chosen our meals. The dining situation and experience was totally the opposite from the amazing breakfast experience. Lastly, since the swimming pool was closed down temporarily due to renovations, We have to go to the rooftop swimming pool located across the street, at the Anantara apartment residence. Same thing happened, when we brought our own champagnes by the pool to relax and enjoy the beautiful city of Chiangmai, the staff told us its charged 500bath. I find this moment period unacceptable, remembering again that I am a Kasara suites guest. A restaurant policy I would understand. But even at the pool? I have enjoyed staying at Anantara very much. Recommendations and referrals would be made by me to many good friends that is seeking for a holiday trip to Chiangmai. I am looking forward to have a great time again staying at Anantara in the near future. Thank you Anantara, Teddy Utama.
